Story
**This information is current - when you email you can rest assured we will email back within 24hrs., but usually within an hour of receiving your email!**The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason. Please respect that and do not email us to ask. Without ongoing support and adoption fees, our rescue WILL CEASE TO EXIST!**No phone calls, EMAIL ONLY, AlphaMom33@aol.com to get an application, thank you for understanding.** **These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.**   This lovely girl is Sasha!   Sasha's family DNA tested her and she is mixed breed - but has 'herding breeds' AND Husky! Our best guess is Husky x Corgi mix!  Sasha weighs in at around 20lbs. She's definitely mixed with some other things, so a typical good ol' American 'mutt'!  * Approx. 16 months * lively girl who likes to play and go for walks * Fairly quiet but expect 'alert barking' when you get visitors. She's got some leash reactivity as well - barks at other dogs while on walks.  * Sasha enjoys children but we ask for respectful children over 6 yrs., including visiting kids * Sasha is okay with kitties and has lived with them. Dog savvy cats please!  * Sasha has acclimatized to the dogs in the home but has shown 'leash reactivity' that may bother inexperienced owners.  We can advise on the correct way to handle these issues. No dog parks please.  *Her health is excellent  Sasha was surrendered to our rescue to find a 'furever' home.  Sasha is housetrained. She enjoys the company of humans to that of dogs, and would prefer to spend her days lazing around the house with outings in her fenced yard.    She doesn't care to play tug, or even play with toys. She does enjoy being with her people!   A fenced yard is required to adopt. No dog parks.  There's a $295 donation to adopt Sasha; this is not negotiable. EMAIL US TODAY to get an application for Sasha!  SEE MORE PICS AND INFO on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/A-PAW-UP-Rescue-E-WA/92163841238  EMAIL US - AlphaMom33@aol.com TO REQUEST AN APPLICATION-We WILL RESPOND within 24 hours (usually less!) All adopters are required to pick up their new family member HERE, within a week of your application being completed and being approved to adopt. Because this is our home, we have LIMITED SPACE to keep dogs, THANK YOU for your understanding.  The sooner an adoptable dog finds a home, the sooner we can rescue another! ****If you are unable to come adopt for longer than a week, a deposit ($50) and/or a $10/day donation towards boarding may apply!**** *Be aware that if you cannot adopt the puppy you've already placed a deposit on, you forfeit your deposit and it becomes a donation to our rescue.* Thank you for your understanding.      **All our foster dogs and puppies have been vaccinated with Galaxy DA2PPv at least ONE TIME. When appropriate and available, they get a rabies vaccination, and they have been dewormed at least once. They come with a health record that reflects this at the time of adoption. They are also Microchipped and come with a free month of health insurance.** No meet and greets take place without a completed/approved application.  **We DO allow out of state adoptions, but we DO NOT ship our pets.  **These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.**  The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason. Rescue puppy at 9 weeks. Brought into home with 3 yr old German Shepard. Husky is now almost 1 yr. They are best buddies. Fetch and tugging are great games. Kai also LOVES swimming! Played to hard.... got injured. Back right leg ligament needs medical attention. Family is relocating and cannot provide medical / training this dog deserves. He is very loved and we want the very best family possible.

Story
Handsome blue-eyed Gabe! Gabe is a medium energy dog who walks well on a leash and is house trained! He's an affectionate guy who prefers big humans to little ones, enjoys pets and brushing and spending time in his little splash pad during the hot summer months. Check out the attached video of Gabe in the "dog wash!" Gabe also likes to take naps on top of a picnic table in the back yard. It is the perfect perch to feel gentle breezes and watch the world go by. Gabe would love to have a quiet home where he can soak up some love. He is most comfortable with adults so we recommend a home without children. To meet Gabe, please go to https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/WAGR-A-793 to fill out an application. There is no obligation to adopt a dog when you submit an application. Thank you!

Story
Calling all marathon runners! I'm a lively and exuberant dog who needs to be provided with a significant amount of exercise. I need a patient and consistent owner who understands my drive and intensity to work (i.e. run!). I have a strong prey drive and should not go home with cats or small dogs. I need consistent and positive training, especially if you want me to stick around and not enjoy the great outdoors all on my own.I want to be part of your daily activities, and won't do well with someone who is gone all the time. I would do best in an active, breed-experience home.
