Story
Penguin is a beautiful all white husky. Penguin came into the shelter covered in fleas and patches of missing fur which we later discovered was due to him being allergic to fleas! After many flea baths and treatments, and lots of love, he is flea free and all of his hair has grown back healthy and he is now the most handsomest boy! As the true husky he is, Penguin loves to talk and let his voice be heard! He is very athletic and is able to jump even tall fences so he would need fences that are over 6' tall to keep him safe! Penguin is a shy boy and can get a little overwhelmed in hectic situations with lots of people and action, but once he gets comfortable with you, he loves to give you "boops" with his nose and spend quality time with his person. Penguin loves doggie friends and would do great in a home either as the only pet or with animal brothers or sisters! He is also great with kids and is a very gentle boy! He can be a picky eater but seems to enjoy switching up his food every so often for variety! Penguin is a very go with the flow dog and would be content curling up for chill movie night with his humans or going for a fun outdoor adventure! Being the husky that he is, he will happily decorate his new home in his beautiful luscious white fur! Penguin is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines. Penguin's adoption fee is $175.

Story
Clover is just the sweetest older gal you will ever meet! She is a husky mix and has ALL the fur to prove it! Clover loves going on walks and being brushed and cuddling up with her person for some quality time. Clover just wants a home to call her own and a person to love her and in return she will give you all of her love. Clover is great with other dogs and we think that with the proper introductions, Clover would do amazing in a home with other animals but could also thrive as an only dog. She is such a sweet and gentle girl. Clover is currently on a special food and has to take some supplements for her exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) which just means that her body has a hard time producing the enzymes needed to properly digest her food. But it doesn't affect her love of life and being the sweetest girl ever! If you are looking for a sweet older gal (who's still got lots of life left in her!) to cuddle up on the couch with and take for leisurely strolls through the park, Clover is your girl! Clover is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. Clover's adoption fee is $90

Story
My name is Houdini. I am a 2 year old Husky and I got my name for a reason. I have escaped almost every kennel at GCAO without leaving a trace of how I did it. I would make someone a great hiking buddy. I love walks, water, playing and being outside. I also love cuddling and getting all the scratches. I am good with some dogs, kids and people. I am not good with cats. I was adopted for about 6 months. My adopters surrendered me to another rescue where I escaped and was on my way up the road to GCAO when an officer picked me up and brought me back.

Story
Hi my name is Valkyrie. I am a 6.5 year old Husky mix. I originally came into the shelter as Chucha, I was adopted for about a year, but sadly was brought back with a new name. Im very sweet, independent and food motivated, but at times I can be stubborn. I love to nap and lunging around until someone brings out the peanut butter (I LOVE peanut butter). I need some work on pulling while on a leash. I cannot be in a home with any other animals. If you are interested in me contact Shae at 509-762-9616 or thegcao@gmail.com
