Story
Nome is in a foster home, and is currently not at the shelter. Please find info below on how to adopt him, thanks.Per his Foster Parent: Nome is a happy, young, energetic, teachable small husky. He gets very excited about things and can also be calm and cuddly. He is crate trained, potty trained, has learned "sit" (it's a silly sideways sit!), he is working on "leave it" and "lay down". He helps put his harness on with all 4 on the floor, he walks on a leash nicely. Running on leash he will pull and sometimes grab the leash still- but who doesn't get excited about running? He is quiet in his crate 90% of the time. Outside of his crate, he is an adorable talker and has a wide range of sounds that tell you exactly how he is feeling; a long adorable yawn, a "wooo-wooo" when he needs to go outside, a longer "ooooo" when he is looking forward to his food, a nervous "yip" when he is pushed too far or about to pee his fluffy pants, an endearing happy "rah-rah-rah", also comes complete with a cute little expressive howl. He likes to be brushed, gives husky hugs and leans on you or flops onto his side when pet. His favorite treats are peanut butter and bacon! Nome nips at hands and clothing occasionally when excited and wants to play- we have been using a tug toy to help him learn to avoid nipping inappropriately- he has majorly improved in the last 2 weeks. He had shown some resource guarding behavior with food and water bowls and stole things, then guarded them- at each feeding I have been asking him to "sit", then rewarding with kibble from my hand rather than a bowl, he has many water bowls to help reduce the value of a single water bowl. As he is gaining trust, he is stealing less often. He loves to play and play, he has proper dog play rituals and rough houses with our large Malamute. Nome is true to husky form and also very trainable and seems to have some recall! He would make an excellent adventure partner! He rides great in the car and loves human companionship. The best home for Nome will be adults and older, dog-savvy teens - and no cats due to his high prey drive. He is more calm and focused on his own with humans than with another dog and would likely do best in a single dog home. He could be with other dogs if the adopter was ready for all the energy!Nome would do best in a house with a yard so that he has plenty of space to run around!HOW TO ADOPT - Please fill out a Dog Adoption Application, available at http://www.seattle.gov/animalshelter/forms.htm and email it to the Seattle Animal Shelter Foster Dog Program at adoptionreview@gmail.com.IMPORTANT NOTE: Many of our dogs will receive numerous applications, and the Seattle Animal Shelter asks for your patience during the process of finding the very best match. Story
Luigi is in a foster home, and is currently not at the shelter. Please find info below on how to adopt him, thanks!Luigi is a young, handsome fellow with lots of love to give. It'll be hard to keep your hands off of his floofy coat! He loves all people but will need guidance and patience in his new home as he learns basic commands and manners (he does still act quite puppy like!). A home with a fenced yard would be preferred for him as he can bore easily and would love a space to run around! Though he will need some work on how to be the best dog he can be, he has great potential and will love to learn from you! Anyu is about 4 years old and is a gorgeous Husky/Aussie mix. She has stunning blue eyes and the most striking grey merle coat. Anyu is house trained and crate trained. She loves her people and is very friendly, cuddly, and affectionate. She absolutely loves playing fetch and chasing balls around the yard. Anyu is very smart - she already knows basic commands and is eager to learn even more fun tricks! Anyu loves to jump up on her favorite people and give them a hug. This sweet, active girl would do best in a home with a large fenced in yard for her to run and play in. She needs to be the only pet in the home and needs a home with older kids. Anyu does not get along with other animals, so she should not be expected to go to dog parks or places where other pets frequent. Story
Hi! I'm Zeus, I am a very playful, highly energetic dog. I love to chase and play with my foster brothers but sometimes I'm too hyper for their liking. I get zoomies around the house often and love to chew on my Kong toy, it keeps me occupied. I'm kennel trained and I'm not as vocal as most huskies. I just want to be loved on and petted, although I rather play outside. I don't hate cats but I will sit and watch my foster barn cats all day long.

Story
Is there a lovely ACTIVE, SMART, EXPERIENCED DOG HANDLER, that is looking for a cute little project dog? I say project dog because LANDO has a few issues we are working on with him. he is not a broken dog in fact he is so smart it makes training harder! He has had a rocky past, poor boy, and all he wants is a loving person that understand him for what he is and works him! I can train Lando as much as I want but I will need to train the new owner as well! Lando needs a serious owner that will take him serious. A police officer looking for a partner in crime A musher looking for another sled wolf 🐺 for his pack A hiker/runner wanting a running companion - Anyone who does something active that can include a dog is a FANTASTIC choice for Lando 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
