Story
Meet Boyah, the beautiful Jindo boy! Boyah was saved from a dog meat farm in South Korea. He lived the first part of his life being raised for human consumption- being neglected and abused. Those days are behind him now though! When he arrived in the US, it was obvious Boyah had never been in a home before - everything was brand new and scary. He's a bit wary of strangers (understandably so!) but once he knows he can trust you he is very loving and loyal. Before being rescued, the only positive interaction he ever had with other living creatures was with dogs - they are his best friends! So Boyah's ideal forever home would include another doggy sibling. And, as with all of our Korean dogs, we are looking for someone with previous dog ownership experience. Story
Hey y'all. My name is Ginny Weasley but you can call me Ginny. I need your help! I was rescued by a great family whom I have lived with for the past 9 years. I really love my people and truth is, I never met a person I didn't like. Problem is, one of my fellow canines in the house has started to pick on me and we have had a few fights. I seem to get the worst of it and got really hurt the last time and needed a bunch of stitches. My people love me a lot and don't want to see me get hurt again. For that reason, I am looking for a new home where I can be the only dog. I have a really big vocabulary and listen well. I am a spayed girl and about 10 years old. I am a classic pound pup with a bunch of Korean Jindo in my genes! That's right, Korean Jindo(google that!). I need a home without other dogs and probably no cats. I have lived with a fenced yard and know how to use a doggy door. Reach out to my people for more info.

Story
This beautiful girl is Angel. She is a Chow mix who weighs about 45lbs.  She was an owner surrender (I know, I know), but I think y’all will understand why we took her in. Angel was adopted by her family as a puppy, and she lived with them her whole life.  They went through some hard times, and she was always by their side.  She was deeply loved.  Tragically, a few months ago, her dad’s house was burned down by an intentional act of arson, by another family member.    YUP.  Angel was actually partially burned in the fire as well.  Her dad lost everything. Angel’s dad had nowhere to keep her, but he couldn’t bear to let her go to a shelter.  She is about 13 y/o, and he was afraid of what would happen to her.  He literally cried and begged a neighbor to keep her until he could figure out where she could go.  His neighbor found us and asked if we could help.  Unfortunately, we were full at the time, but he agreed to keep her for a couple weeks until we could take her in. It was so hard for Angel’s dad to surrender her to us.  It wasn’t a perfect situation, but I know she was loved and that he was doing the best he could by her.  We promised him that we’d take good care of her and make sure she was safe, always.  Angel is already spayed and up to date on shots.  She does have decreased kidney function, so she’s on a special diet, and we are monitoring that with our veterinary team.  When she stabilizes a little more, she will need a dental, and she has a benign cyst that needs removal.  She also had some flea allergies and lost some fur off her back, which is thankfully starting to grow back in.  She will hopefully be ready to go to her Forever Family here soon.  She is quiet, easy going and tolerant, and prefers to spend her days napping in the sun. **NO SMALL CHILDREN** ##570263##
