Story
Meet Boyah, the beautiful Jindo boy! Boyah was saved from a dog meat farm in South Korea. He lived the first part of his life being raised for human consumption- being neglected and abused. Those days are behind him now though! When he arrived in the US, it was obvious Boyah had never been in a home before - everything was brand new and scary. He's a bit wary of strangers (understandably so!) but once he knows he can trust you he is very loving and loyal. Before being rescued, the only positive interaction he ever had with other living creatures was with dogs - they are his best friends! So Boyah's ideal forever home would include another doggy sibling. And, as with all of our Korean dogs, we are looking for someone with previous dog ownership experience. If you are interested in adopting, please email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##543285##

Story
Meet Laverne or Elvee for short. She is a young adult shepherd mix who is house broken, crate trained, and walks wonderfully on a leash. She is a super calm and quiet dog that loves to play with dogs in her foster home of all sizes. She is also good with cats, horses and chickens. Elvee adores walks and going new places, but seems to like a quiet home best. She has a new found love of car rides and exploring. Need a hiking buddy? Elvee is it! She would probably even enjoy jogging. Elvee's perfect home will have another dog to play with and people who will take her exploring... Even if it's just a good walk around the neighborhood. She is shy and skittish, but that is her only flaw. Elvee will bond fiercely with her person and be a devoted and loving. All it takes is time and patience.  Elvee is a rehabilitated feral dog. This means that she was not handled by humans until she was much older. People can still be scary at times, but Elvee improves every day. She needs an adoptor that will just be slow and patient. She will get there eventually! It is worth the wait. Street Paws is committed to provide all the help and support our new feral adopted family needs to begin their lives together. Ferals make amazing pets with just a little time. They are normally very laid back and easy dogs once you gain their trust.  Elvee is no exception. Contact us if you are interested in becoming a member of our growing Street Paws pack! No out of state adoptions. To apply to adopt this pet please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at http://streetpaws.org/adoption-application/ . This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Our adoption fee is $250 for Laverne. They have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, dewormed, received flea prevention, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, and microchipped.

Story
Have you ever wanted a pet that loves you and your family and no one else? That will adore you and their pack, but outsiders are viewed with caution? Well meet Shirley. Shirley is about an 8 month (as of May 2018) old feral puppy in the beginning stages of rehab. Shirley was trapped with her siblings by animal control. They are all beginning to trust and seek human company.  Shirley is excellent with other dogs and seems to be just fine with cats. They will bond fiercely with their family and be a devoted and loving member of the family. All it takes is time and patience.  Shirley is available for foster to adopt. This will allow Street Paws to provide all the help and support their new family needs to begin their lives together. Ferals make amazing pets with just a little time. They are normally very laid back and easy dogs once you gain their trust.  A home with at least one other dog and a fenced in yard is a must. Contact us if you are interested in becoming a member of our growing Street Paws pack! https://youtu.be/E8A4Ed-xgUg No out of state adoptions.  To apply to adopt this pet please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at http://streetpaws.org/adoption-application/.
