Oh, hello! I'm Franklin. I'm a 3 year old lab mix. Aren't I so handsome? The shelter staff cant take their eyes off of me! Don't tell the rest of the dogs here, but I think I'm a bit of a favorite.. A little about me.. I'm a bit of a nervous nelly. I can't help it! It's just who I am. I'm very loving, and I'm looking for a low-traffic home that is quiet and peaceful and has a lot of patience. I take a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but once I trust you, you're in my circle, and I'll do anything for you. I'm very calm and spend most of my time curled up in my blankets, enjoying a nice bone. No other pets or kids, please. I'm just looking for my forever with my best friend. Is that you? My adoption fee is $185, which includes my neuter, microchip and up-to-date shots.  If you are interested in adopting please go to our website at www.partnersforpetsil.org and fill out an online application. Adoptions are held at the O'Fallon, IL PetSmart every Saturday of the month from 11am-3:30pm and at the Glen Carbon, IL PetSmart every Sunday from 11am-3:30pm. We are also at Petco in Edwardsville Crossing on Sundays from 11:30-3:30 pm. The cats are only at Glen Carbon Petsmart. Please let us know if you are interested in a pet and we can arrange to have them meet you at one of the adoption events.

Cagney is a 4 year old black lab mix. He is dog friendly and does well with older kids.  He can be a bit shy at first, but is extremely loving once he gets comfortable with you. Cagney walks perfectly on a leash.  His favorite things are his toys, going for car rides and an occasional cheeseburger. He has the perfect energy level..he loves to play, but also loves to lounge around the house. He does need a 6 foot privacy fence because he sees chain link as a test for his climbing skills!
