Story
Please dont share. Sharing on pages with large followings creates way too many emails for me to keep up with. She will have enough interest on this site to get a home. Thanks for understanding. Meet Lola Mom was purebred lab Dad was standard poodle House broke Crate trained Gets along with cats and other dogs. LOVES KIDS! Approx weight 40-45 lbs Needs physical fenced in yard to apply As with any dog I adopt out, I always have a return policy. If for whatever reason, the dog needs re-homed it needs to come back to me. That is what happened with Lola. Lolas family adopted her from me Sept 2018. At that time she was about 4 months old. She was returned through no fault of her home. The family dynamics changed and the primary care giver has been working extremely long hours due to the virus. It was the best decision to return her and heart breaking for the family. Of course, I welcomed this girl back and here we are looking for her new home. She was very well taken care of, groomed, much loved and came with a complete " Lola" care package for her new home. She also came with her own bed, bowls and what food is left will go home with her too. Currently eating Iams. She loves kids and her former home had a 5 year old and 2 year old. Actually she will warm up to kids quicker than adults. The former family requested she have a physical fenced in yard and I think that would be best too. No invisible fencing for her please. Her perfect home would be: physical fenced in yard, a patient home and preferably with kids. She loves kids. If you have another dog in the home, that would be great too. She can walk on a leash, is house broken ( please give her time to adjust ) and crate trained. When I had Lola ( September 2018 ) as an older pup ( approx 4 months old or so ). If I remember correctly she was on the shy side, although she did warm up to her family rather quickly. As an adult now, she is shy meeting adults but loves kids. If you adopt her, please plan on meeting a shy adult doodle who is just going to take sometime to adjust. She would never bite or be mean, thats just not her, she is what I call a " big chicken". Maybe lacks a little self confidence but she will bond with you, she will just bond with the kids quicker. I have only had her a few days now, she has bonded with me nicely inside but not outside yet. I have noticed a little bit of submissive peeing when I approach her. I did ask her former owners about that and this is their response. It was not a regular thing, If someone new came to the house and tried to approach her, she would. But then again it was rare. I think she just lacks some self confidence. The pics I took are current photos ( she had a hair cut ) , the last pics or so was when she was a puppy. She is white/light cream in color. Vet care: she was spayed back in 2018, She is current on her rabies, h w test, 5 way and canine influenza, she has been kept on h w preventative ( sentinel size 26-50 lbs ) and was last given on 3-30-20. She has one more left which will be due on 4-30-20 and will go home with her. The vet paperwork will go home with her. However, her vacs are going to expire on 4-18-20 so yes, they are right around the corner to being due. I did update her bordatella vaccine so that wont be needed. She is ready for a new home anytime. Her fee will be very reasonable. She is currently in my boarding facility. If you want to apply, please complete application below. Story
Harvey, how I love this dude, but he will need someone who is active and has a large, fenced yard. He loves to run, not walk, and the faster, the better! He needs a home with other dogs, a pack to join. He has been at the sanctuary for almost 3 years. He was very fear reactive and took a year plus to get him to trust people again. He is a 5 year old beagle/golden lab mix. Like the beagle, he follows his nose. He is great with people and has come a long way; he will need someone to understand him. Harvey came from a blended family . The step-father, and his 2 sons, beat Harvey for fun, as a joke, as a way to pick on the step-sister/daughter. Harvey belonged to her, and were very close. Anyway, Harvey is welcoming of all people, a bit protective of treats, toys, and food. As a result, he only gets soft treats that he eats right away, and won't save. Once he is done eating his food, it is put away, as are toys after play time. Absolutely NO children for Harvey! His future home must have a secure, fenced yard. An active runner or cyclist, would be the best parent(s) for him. Could you give Harvey the perfect home he deserves? Adoption fee: “Name your fee”. Suggested minimum $200. Fee MUST be included on application! Last updated 3/24/19 Interested in this dog/cat? Please complete an adoption form from our website www.animalhousesanctuary.org and email to AHSAdopt@gmail.com. Story
Pepper is a very sweet girl but she needs to be in a home where she is the only pet and gets all the attention. She is an angel when being petted and played with. She doesn't need to be in a crate as long as she can't get to the trash and there is no food out on the counter. She is crate trained if she needs to be put into a cage. She has lots of energy and never refuses walks or playing in the back yard. I would recommend a fenced in back yard as she loves to run. She is fast and amazing to watch run around. She never fails to let you know when someone is outside and can seem intimidating to strangers but she isn't aggressive. I would keep her if we didn't have other animals and could give her all the attention she is craving. Please consider this beautiful girl if you have an animal free home and want to be loved. Also, she has her shots scheduled for Sept. 7th. She is already spayed and is chipped.

Story
Meet Bear! Bear was originally adopted out as a puppy in 2016 but was recently returned by his owner when she said she couldn’t care for him. We believe he is a basset/lab mix. He is around 2 years old. Bear is a mellow, low key fella and likes to just hang out and relax. Bear prefers women over men, but does do well with both. Bear gets along with all dogs at the sanctuary. If he gets scared or "over it" he simply walks away. He prefers calmer dogs. He does well with cats, with a proper introduction. No kids for this fella. Bear is house and crate trained, neutered and up to date on all vaccines. Bear needs a fenced in yard. Adoption fee $150 Last updated 3/2/18 Interested in this dog/cat?
