Story
Rainy is part of a litter of puppies who were brought to our shelter from Mendocino County in hopes of finding a new home. We suspect she is part Labrador and part adorable. This little red-haired girl seeks your attention and likely will turn into a grown up lap dog. Rainy is a little sensitive, but once she knows you have a sensitive side too, it's all good. Rainy will appreciate an adopter who can be patient with a young dog while she learns about new things. She has been hanging out with her sibling and they rock and roll with the best of them. We suspect Rainy might thrive in a home where there is another dog, an adult dog, who is tolerant of youngsters. Primary Color: Red Weight: 27.6 Age: 0yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
Oscar is an active and fun-loving older puppy who is just learning about the big wide world. He is searching for a home where he can be allowed to grow up and be his active self. Oscar is part of a litter of puppies brought to our shelter from Mendocino County. We're not quite sure of the parentage but Labrador is one likely guess. Oscar is a big puppy, which means he will likely grow into a dog of good stature. He's going to need a patient adopter who is all about developing puppies into stable adult dogs. That means time for house training and teaching all the skills needed for a dog to be successful in a home. Primary Color: Yellow Weight: 38.6 Age: 0yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
Edith is a wonderful adult dog who was originally adopted by HSSC as a puppy. She is back through no fault of her own and is ready to hang out with some people. Edith has been spending time in a foster home where she has shown her playful side. She is pretty shameless about her love for soft squeaky toys. We have video proof of her laying on her back, holding the toy with her paws and as content as can be. Edith has also been hanging out with an older adult Labrador without any issues. We love adult dogs because puppy stuff is over. It's time for the adults in the house to enjoy life together. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 53.6 Age: 7yrs 5mths 4wks

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Sammie, she is beautiful, desperate for her human to love her. She is active, playful and very young at under a year. Sammie needs to be with her person she gets afraid when left alone (yep, separation anxiety). This can be worked on, but it will take a special person that is willing to help her get over her fear of being dumped again. When she is with you, she is calm and relaxed. She is not so much interested in playing fetch or being with other dogs. She wants to sit quietly with you doing whatever it is you are doing. Her high energy would work well for an athletic family or person that would be willing to take her for a good run once or twice a day. Any marathoners out there? She is a keeper and a lover for the right family, perfect size, a tall 45 pounds.
