Story
We love our dog, but we don't have enough time to give her the life she deserves. She is a mix of a Lab and has only the markings of a St Bernard. She is very lovable, kind and loves to snuggle. She is extremely healthy. Loves people so much. She has never bit any dogs or people over 10 years. She is very energetic, loves walks and the dog park. She is also the alpha in the house. We will miss her very much, but want her to have a loving owner that can spend more time with her.

Story
Marty is a wonderful young dog. I've had him since he was 9 weeks old. But I spent several months in the hospital during which time he did not get the training he needed. And now that I'm home I still cant take care of. He is not a morning person. And he loves morning cuddles and laying under his blanket. He is a couch potato but he used to love going on walks and dog park. I can no longer do these things for him and hes just a lot for my 65 year old mom to take care. He needs to be with someone that can give time outside and love him and cuddle him. He is eager to learn and just needs the right person to teach him.

Story
In need of a very special adopter. Roberta was brought to the shelter along with her puppies as part of an animal cruelty case. Initially, she was very protective of them and would refuse interactions when they were around. After they were big enough to be separated she has shown some improvement, but she is still very, very scared when interacting with handlers, especially strangers. With staff members she's familiar with, she has started to show some comfort and affection, but she is still going to be a project dog. She is someone who will need a quiet home, where she will have plenty of time to settle in and get used to all of her new people, without the stress of constant strangers.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Daphne is a painfully shy 2 year-old Lab mix female who came to us last summer along with her mom Tory and brothers Tag and Dutch. Their world was completely upended when they were all surrendered to a county dog shelter by their previous owner. Daphne was the shyest of the group and was the last to be adopted. She was adopted last August but returned to us in February because of her extreme shyness and inability to adjust to suburban living. Daphne is a loving dog with people that she knows but it does take her time to warm up and feel comfortable with someone new. She absolutely LOVES other dogs though so must go to a home where there is at least one other dog who will play with her and help her adjust to her new environment. Daphne went to doggie daycare in her previous home and felt very comfortable there. She is very fearful of noises and traffic so urban/suburban living is too stressful for her. Daphne needs a quiet home in the country with other dogs and a secure aboveground fenced yard. This is the situation in her current foster home and she is comfortable there.  She is crate-trained and should pick up the house rules with some patience and consistent direction in her new home. Whoever is able to give her the time and patience to allow her to overcome her shyness is sure to be rewarded with a wonderful companion for years to come. Daphne does walk on a leash but is usually too frightened to enjoy going for a walk which is why a large secure fenced in yard is essential for her. In the video, Daphne is wearing the pink collar and her adoptable pal Caleb is wearing the blue collar. Daphne weighs about 55 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Daphne. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don't place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Daphne and to submit an online application.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Meet Jeffy, a sweet and gentle 6 year-old Lab/Cattle Dog mix neutered male who’s eager to find a new family to love. Jeffy was an owner surrender at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter. We don’t know what circumstances resulted in Jeffy losing his home but his previous owner told the shelter that he was good with kids, other dogs, cats, and livestock too. Jeffy was at the shelter for over a month and was on the euthanasia list to make room for other incoming dogs when we pulled him so that he would have more time to find a great new home. Since he’s been with us, we’ve found Jeffy to be a little shy in new situations but as kind and gentle as they come. He seems to form attachments to new people quickly and once he makes friends with some, is content to sit by your side and soak up all the love and attention he can. Jeffy walks nicely on a leash but since he lived in a rural area previously, urban and suburban traffic noises are a little scary for him. He would probably prefer a home in a quiet neighborhood with a nice fenced in yard to relax in. Jeffy will sit for a treat and learned the down command very quickly. He’s eager to please and takes treats very gently so working with him on commands should be a rewarding experience. Jeffy has shown no interest in toys since he’s been with us. He did meet the resident kitty at the vet clinic and as expected, seemed to be fine with her. Jeffy was a little camera shy so you’ll have to meet him in person to see what a handsome boy he is. Jeffy weighs about 45 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Jeffy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Jeffy and to submit an online application.
