Story
Daisy is a 2.5 yr old Chocolate lab! She is a great dog! At 6 weeks old, she came to live with us. She loves to play with her dog friends and snuggle up to your feet while she sleeps. She is kennel trained and likes to just go in there and take a nap. She likes to play fetch with the ball and frisbee. She has had some training and knows how to sit and stay, with some treat bribery of course. I am looking for a family to love her and spoil her and make her part of the family. If you keep your dogs outside, this is not the dog for you. She is out of her puppy stage and does well on her own while I am gone. She has chewy toys all over the house because she likes to keep busy. She also likes to go in the car and even though I try to have her sit in the back she always sneaks in the passenger seat.

Smokey is the sweetest. He has never been aggressive to anyone or any animals. He is actually quite shy and bashful around new people. He comes from a family of kids so does well with them. He has also lived with another dog as well with no issues. He is up to date on his shots from a vet( not feed store) He is kind and likes to be loved on. He has no excessive tendencies ( I. E. barking, chewing etc) He is pretty laid back honestly. He is good puppy and needs a good home. Please consider him!

Nemo is a member of our Platinum Paws Program. His adoption fee was sponsored through generous donations received during the Bettye White Challenge. Learn more at ohar.org/platinumpaws Nemo's tinder profile reads: Handsome dude seeks human companion. For life. I'm the real deal and I'm looking for a commitment. I've been married before and was left high and dry so if you're just here to play around keep swiping. I like to take things slow. I'm a foodie. I like dogs and won't judge their size. Cats... haven't tried those yet. Kids. Bleh. They can stress me out so they need to be on the chill side. Just being honest. Did I mention how honest I am? Well, I am. I'm also a catch. Come catch me! Love, Nemo Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Story
Say hello to Marley! Marley loves people and other dogs! Marley can play all day with his canine companions and will look up at you with a Cheshire cat grin when you show him affection. Marley is an intelligent doggo who can be a bit of a stinker. He knows what he can and can't get away with and will sometimes test boundaries to see how far he can go. This usually entails his demands for a pet and a "good boy" before he goes into his kennel. It's hard not to chuckle at his devious little ways. Marley is obsessed with toys and food. And when we say obsessed, we mean obsessed! To the point that he hoards them all to himself and doesn't want to share. That means if his new family has another dog, they will need to keep toys out of reach when unsupervised and feed separately. But that's not a big deal when you have Marley's adorable face looking up at you in admiration. Learn more about Marley by contacting OHAR today! History: Marley was adopted from the Mesquite Animal Shelter, the family realized his energy was too high for their senior dog and asked OHAR for assistance. Once at OHAR, it was discovered that Marley had an issue with resource guarding. Since Marley has been with OHAR, shelter staff have been working with Marley to help manage this behavior. Because of this, Marley will require a home without small children. Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Are you a homebody that was social distancing before 2020? Then I'm the dog for you! I'm a self-proclaimed wallflower, who isn't into big parties or big crowds. I like my personal space when meeting new people and prefer to go at my own pace. But don't let my shyness fool you. Once I know you're cootie free all bets are off and I turn into a total mush bucket. I love playing in the yard with other dogs, especially the lovely ladies. I am also an enthusiastic learner and enjoy learning new things with the help of my trusted people. I listen well and have been told that I'm the perfect gentleman. My ideal family would be someone who continues to give me praise and has another dog that I can be best friends with. Are you that person? If so, connect with OHAR to learn more about me! Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Story
Show Xena a new trick and watch her master it with a gigantic smile spread across her face. Xena loves learning new things and hops in delight when you tell her good job. Speaking of jobs, Xena would love a job as your runner partner or conquering an agility course. She likes a good challenge and excels at discovering new ways to expel her spazzy energy. One challenge Xena hasn't mastered yet is how to not be such a wallflower. While she might take a little longer to make friends, she would love a four-legged friend that she could play tag with in the backyard. Would Xena make a great addition to your home? If so, contact OHAR to learn more! Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s).
