Story
Jessie Anne is a sweet 6 1/2 year old, female, Dachshund mix. She is 13 lbs, crate trained, and housetrained, walk wells on a leash and is very treat motivated. She needs time to warm up to new people and would do best in a home without small children.  Once Jessie Anne bonds to you that bond won’t be broken!  She is a great lap dog if you like that or will cuddle up in her corner of the couch.  She would love nothing more than someone to provide her a lap to snuggle in or be your sunbathing buddy.  Good photos have been a challenge because she would much rather you scratch her head than photograph her!  She has a soft silky coat and the cutest little hop, skip and jump when she struts her stuff on walks and is happy to let you know when she needs your attention with a soft nudge of her nose on your hands!  Some basic stats on Jessie Anne: Approximate Year of Birth: 2013 Gender: Female Breed: Mixed breed, Dachshund mix Weight: 13 lbs Energy Level: Low Kids: It's a possibility with older considerate kids Dogs: Eh I prefer to be your one and only!  Cats: No thank you! Special Notes: A gentle heart looking for a loving, patient new home! Adopt Jessie Anne at www.hhfrescue.org. The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, spay/neuter, microchip, a lifetime registration of the microchip, and sales tax. If adopting a puppy, the rabies and spay/neuter will be done at the same time by our vet once they are 4 months old and billed to us. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
