You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.The Kennedy Kids were born at Windsong Ranch on April 17, 2017. Mom is a Great Pyrenees/Maremma and dad is supposed to have been the family's other LGD, a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd. We think a neighbor's Akbash LGD might have had a night of romance with the mom, because a couple of the pups look suspiciously like an Akbash. :) Joey had a full series of vaccinations, has been neutered, and is microchipped. He has been living in our pasture with goats, learning under the watchful supervision of our experienced adult LGDs. Story
Buffy is a beautiful 3 year old shepherd mix. She is one of our "Pack" 29" as seen on the Dodo last year rescued from soccer fields south of Dallas. Buffy is great with her foster kiddos but we believe her forever home should be with older kids or no kids. She does get a bit anxious with lots of kids coming and going. She also enjoys the company of other dogs but we don't believe she needs another dog in the home to be happy. She is even good with the foster family iguana! She is house trained and loves to go on walks. Buffy has also learned to play with toys- something that takes our street dogs a while to delvelop. Squeaky toys are her favorite!  She would be happiest in a home where her people are home often and a fenced yard.  * Adoption Fees:Puppies (under 12 months) - $300+taxDogs (12 months and over) - $250+tax * Home visits and vet checks are required.* If you are interested in meeting one of our pets, please fill out the online adoptionapplication on our website. Qualifications for Adoption: Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Vet checks are required. All resident animals must be spayed/neutered, up to date onvaccinations and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative (if applicable). Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training,medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Applicant is home more than not. Home visit is required. Story
We have 3 dogs. One 8 year old female Anatolian Shepard black lab mix (Meka). One female pit bull lab mix that is 4-5 years old (Xena). Finally one male dachshund mix that is 7-8. The two larger females do not get along very well. The Anatolian is protective of us and does not like the younger female. Currently we can manage them. However we are expecting a new baby. We are concerned we will struggle to deescalate the tension between the two females once the new baby arrives. Meka is a wonderful friend and K9 that will hopefully be a great companion for someone that needs one.
