Story
Nicholas is a 5 to 7-year-old mastiff mix who arrived with his best friend Alexandria and their five puppies. The puppies have all since found homes, but this bonded pair remain stuck at the shelter. Nicholas is a sweet happy and goofy fellow typical of his breed. He’s always excited when people stop by his kennel and hopes it means he’s getting to go out and go for a walk. Although initially he will pull quite hard on leash, once out walking he will settle down nicely. He’s well behaved during physical exam and love the attention. He’s social and friendly. He does seem to get along well with other dogs but prefers females over males and doesn’t like dogs to get up in his face and try to take charge. He did not seem to be a huge fan of cats. He is extremely food motivated and will sit for treats.We are asking that Nicholas and Alexandria be placed together as they are definitely a bonded pair. We think Nicholas would probably do best in a home with children 10 years of age and older.
