Story
Meet Macy This beautiful little puppy is being given a second chance at a happy and healthy life. For a couple of months, Macy has been living in a car with her owner. Unfortunately, he is unable to care for her and chose to surrender her to our shelter in the hopes we could find Macy a forever loving home. Macy arrived on February 15, 2020. Macy is three months old. She’s thought to be a Mountain Cur mix. She weighs about 19 pounds, but will grow into being a medium size dog. Macy has the sweetest temperament. She’s only ever been with her owner, who’s loved her a lot. She’s good with people and kids. So far she hasn’t met any kitties or other dogs, but we’ll test her for potential adopters. Most likely given how young she is she’ll do well with both and find it great fun to play with other dogs of her size. Macy has a lovely tan and white coat. Her eyes are dark and very expressive, showing her intelligence. Macy’s ears are adorable and fall forward on her little forehead. She’s inquisitive and curious. She loves to play and is a happy little girl. Macy, like any puppy will need to be house-trained. She loves being with her people and being a part of their activities. If you’re looking to welcome a terrific and gorgeous puppy to your family, come meet our Macy. She is one-of-a-kind. Anyone who’s ever had a mountain cur mix, raves about these dogs. They’re fun, smart, loyal, and so sweet. They make great family pets and help make a house a home. Macy is already spayed, micro-chipped and vetted. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee. If you don’t receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Story
Hi! I'm Pebbles. I'm a young mom, who loves my children dearly! But, once they leave the nest, I'm done with motherhood! Whew! You see, I've never been the center of attention. I was born into a very busy place & although I was loved, they couldn't spend time with me alone. I have always craved human affection so much that I just want to crawl into your lap, give you kisses & flop over for a belly rub. You're welcome to hold my kiddos & love on them, because I trust you. But, please don't forget to pet me, too! I know I'm covered in scars. Even my tongue is damaged. But, my foster mom says I'm beautiful & loves me so much! I'm not interested in making any trouble. When another dog in the household approached me, I just flopped over on my side to let her know I mean no harm. I'm a survivor & just long to be cherished. Do you have room in your heart for a girl with a rough & tough exterior, but a heart of gold on the inside? If you let me sleep with you, I promise to let you have half the bed…most nights. Pebbles & her puppies were rescued from a hoarding case with 50+ dogs on one property. The owner did her best in caring for the dogs but was not financially able to spay/neuter and ultimately got overwhelmed. Needless to say, there were many pregnant momma dogs as well as moms with young puppies one of which is Pebbles & her three pups: Daniel, Rupert, and Emma. The puppies were born around the end of February, have had their first puppy shots, and have been wormed: 1. Daniel, tan with dark eyebrows & black tail Hello. I'm Daniel. They say I'm named after the actor, Daniel Radcliff, because I kinda favor him. He must be a handsome guy! I'm the big brother & I love to investigate new things. Mom is always telling me to go back to bed, but as soon as her back is turned, I take off again. It's fun to play those games with her & I kinda think she likes it, too. I like it when the humans pick me up & snuggle with me. Their noses are chewy & they kiss me a lot. I can't wait to have a human to call my own! We'll have so many adventures! 2. Emma, the blonde/light tan girl Hi, I'm Emma. I was named after Emma Watson, an actress from Harry Potter. They say she's very pretty. My favorite things to do are snuggle, nurse, sleep & play. When the humans hold me, I give them sweet kisses, then snuggle in as close as I can get. They're really warm & squishy, so they make great beds. Mom said that one day I will get my very own human. That day will be so lovely! 3. Rupert, the red boy Hi! I'm Rupert, named after Rupert Grint, from Harry Potter. I have the most glorious ginger coat & hazel eyes. I know I look sad, but that's just my Sharpei heritage. I'm actually a pretty content little guy. I spend my days nursing, playing with my sister & brother & sleeping. I love when the humans hold me because they kiss me a lot & make the best snuggle buddies. I just can't wait for all the cuddles that I'm going to have one day! When my perfect human comes along! Story
Hello my name is Sarge! I am a handsome, young bachelor. I am a lover not a fighter. I like to be pet all day long. I was once an outside dog and I love, love, love being inside the house with my foster mom. I sleep on the floor next to her side of the bed every night and follow her around all day. She smells so good. I am doing really well with learning crate manners and going outside to use the bathroom. For some reason my foster mom gets to use the bathroom in the house. I don’t get it. But anyway, I get along with other friendly dogs and indoor cats. If I see a cat outside I will chase it. Something inside me lights up and I have to catch that cat! I like going on long walks, car rides, and playing with my toys. My coloring is very unique. I have brindle coloring under my black coat. It's difficult to see that in my pics. Call or text Evelyn’s Place Rescue at 770-503-5402 or 678-776-6244 if you would like to meet for coffee, lunch, or a romp at the dog park. I am Heartworm + and being treated.

Story
Frenchie is inclined towards hunting! She loves it! She is spayed, microchipped, and knows basic commands. She is very obedient, agreeable, and calm, but still playful with children. She can be protective around other dogs, but has never bitten or attacked another dog. She has the cutest baby face at almost 8 years old, but she won't sit still for a good picture! Looking for a nice home for her, with people who will be with her often, exercise her, and she is great with children! She is actually a medium sized dog, but a bit overweight and needs more exercise. My dad, who is older, works and travels often, and she is very loved, so they spoil her with treats and can't walk her often. The last picture is of her when she was younger, so you can see her potential size with a more active family.
