Story
A playful pup with a prizewinning personality! This pretty pup was found by a good Samaritan and brought to FFL to start the search for her forever home. She is starting to show off her upbeat personality in foster care and is looking forward to meeting her new family so she can really experience what it’s like to be home at last. Perfect pal! Portia will be your best friend. She adores her humans and wants to spend every minute she has with them! Whether following her buddies around or cuddling up during breaks from her active lifestyle, Portia is happiest as long as she is with the people she loves the most. Perky and peppy! This playful pup is very active and loves to have a great time! Whether entertaining herself with her favorite toys or playing with her pals, Portia loves to be on-the-go. With Portia, plenty of stimulation and appropriate outlets for her energy are vital. She is full of bright, bouncy energy and will undoubtedly keep you on your toes in the best possible way! Praiseworthy progress! Learning to trust and listen to her new friends has been this cutie’s biggest challenge. This smart cookie has been working on crate training, leash training, and all sorts of tricks! So far Portia is learning to stay calm in the crate when left alone, to walk on a leash without getting too excited, to sit before she gets a toy, and to enjoy her calmer moments in the day. Portia would love a family ready to pick up where her foster leaves off and continue with her training. She would thrive in a home willing to be patient with her during this adjustment period as she grows into the dog she was always meant to be. Does Portia sounds like the perfect pick for you? Come meet this precious pupper today!

Story
This is not an easy decision for us, but we recognize that we have to do what's best for Goldie. We rescued her when she was just 10 weeks old. She's shy around strangers but warms up near immediately; she's very sweet with absolutely no aggressive behaviors--truly a gentle family pet. Goldie's been an outside dog these past seven years, but she's crate and house trained. If you don't mind some shedding, she does very well inside! Goldie loves to snuggle and play. She craves human attention. Goldie's also very active, loving to walk, run, and take car rides. You'll need to work with her on the game of catch, though--it's more like keep away! Having access to a big back yard or dog park is a plus. You'll find her running back and forth trying to keep up with squirrels and rabbits! It's important to us that Goldie goes to a family that can do more for her than we're able to with two working adults and three active kids. She's been such a loyal family member and deserves the very best!

Story
I've had Toki for about 7 years, she's about 8 years old. I love her very much but unfortunately I need to find her a new loving home since I'm in the process of a divorce and my father will not allow me to keep any pets while I stay with him, I'm not sure how long I'll be staying with my father and re-homing her is whats best for her even though it breaks my heart. She's an incredibly sweet, cuddly friend who gives hugs and loves treats, she also loves running around/chasing birds. I'm a vet tech in the woodlands and she's currently staying at my clinic. She takes a while to tolerate other dogs, but she's loves all people. She's spayed and up to date on all her vaccines and prevention, She does also experience storm anxiety and I find that mild sedation with Trazadone works best. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
