Story
A playful pup with a prizewinning personality! This pretty pup was found by a good Samaritan and brought to FFL to start the search for her forever home. She is starting to show off her upbeat personality in foster care and is looking forward to meeting her new family so she can really experience what it’s like to be home at last. Perfect pal! Portia will be your best friend. She adores her humans and wants to spend every minute she has with them! Whether following her buddies around or cuddling up during breaks from her active lifestyle, Portia is happiest as long as she is with the people she loves the most. Perky and peppy! This playful pup is very active and loves to have a great time! Whether entertaining herself with her favorite toys or playing with her pals, Portia loves to be on-the-go. With Portia, plenty of stimulation and appropriate outlets for her energy are vital. She is full of bright, bouncy energy and will undoubtedly keep you on your toes in the best possible way! Praiseworthy progress! Learning to trust and listen to her new friends has been this cutie’s biggest challenge. This smart cookie has been working on crate training, leash training, and all sorts of tricks! So far Portia is learning to stay calm in the crate when left alone, to walk on a leash without getting too excited, to sit before she gets a toy, and to enjoy her calmer moments in the day. Portia would love a family ready to pick up where her foster leaves off and continue with her training. She would thrive in a home willing to be patient with her during this adjustment period as she grows into the dog she was always meant to be. Does Portia sounds like the perfect pick for you? Come meet this precious pupper today!

Story
Hi! I’m Zeus , I’m a Ccatahoula mix who’s birthday is on July 4th, maybe that’s why I’m so much like a firework. I’m full of bursting energy but also so full of love. I love jumping on the trampoline with my siblings and even my foster mom. I can jump probably 3 feet in the air; okay not literally but it sure feels like it! I enjoy being apart of everything my family does, even cooking. I’ll lay on the rug in the kitchen and just watch everyone cook while kinda hoping they drop something for me WHICH doesn’t happen very often. If it was up to me that wouldn’t be the case. I just want love and attention for as long as I can get it. I enjoy playing with tennis balls and ropes and I enjoy cuddling with my family and going to sleep next to them. Milk bones are my favorite treat and I also love some boiled chicken on days that I’m given some. I’m not a huge fan of taking a bath but I sit still so its over with quicker. I just want a family who’s ready for my spunkiness and love. Apply for Zeus at www.hhfrescue.org. The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, spay/neuter, microchip, a lifetime registration of the microchip, and sales tax. If adopting a puppy, the rabies and spay/neuter will be done at the same time by our vet once they are 4 months old and billed to us. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
