What a very sweet boy our Dusty is! He loves being brushed and enjoys head-butting with you as well! Dusty has been through a lot in his lifetime, but still maintains an affectionate and sweet personality and likes when you carry him from one place to another. Dusty is approximately 5 years old and ready for a Second Chance in life. He's just beginning to play, and we suspect he may never have known what that was like before, and so it is enjoyable to watch him beginning to enjoy playtime and life. Dusty will be a wonderful, enjoyable companion to you in your home and to anyone that visits.

Story
Our petite Sam, was being fed outside by a family who could not bring her inside because their cat was not agreeable to her. Sam is trying to come out of her shell but she's still so quiet, shy and reserved, however in a loving and attentive home, she would thrive and be a loving little cat. She's noticing toys, and she loves to be scratched around her chin. If you pet her, she will eventually put her tail up and purr. She is agreeable with other cats and could be placed with other non aggressive cats. Sam is about 5 years old and FIV positive and can live a long and happy life around other cats. She currently keeps company with Mae, who is also available for adoption.

Happy is a female spayed black cat, born on April 20, 2018. She is very loving once she knows you; follows you around. But she hides from strangers and will take a patient cat lover to help her transition to her forever home. The adoption fee is $15.00. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to:  https://www.rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/CatAdoptionApplication.html We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.
