Story
Meet Christopher! He is a 3 year old lab mix weighing approximately 40 lbs. Because of the brindle coloring, I'm thinking he may have some plott hound or greyhound in him. Christopher is a high energy boy who needs lots of love. He loves people and would enjoy long walks/runs and would probably make a great hiking companion. He would do best with an active family and as the only dog. He does not get along with other dogs and is not good with cats. He is also a digger and will dig under a fence if not supervised. Christopher is in a small shelter in Lytle, TX and can be adopted locally or transported to your area once adopted. His adoption fee is $185 and transport is $185. If you are interested in adopting Christopher, please call Lytle Animal Care and Control at 830-709-3832.

Story
Welcome Reba. She is a 6-year-old Plott Hound/Lab mix. Her paperwork says German Shorthaired pointer. Looks more Plott to us. She is a fun loving and active girl. She loves to run with her foster mom’s daughter. She loves other dogs and is in a home with 5 cats. She is great with cats. She doesn’t like storms and isn’t used to a crate. She is good and allowed to roam freely in her foster mom’s house. We will work on crating so she knows what it is. She will do best in a privacy fence. She has springy legs and can jump over a short chain. She loves her foster mom and is very bonded. She would be perfect in a home by herself or with another dog and cats or not. She is in Texas and is in foster care waiting for her forever home. She can be adopted locally or we can work with a transporter to get her all along the East Coast, Washington, Portland, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Vermont. She is a wonderful dog and would love an active family to join. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185 Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. Story
Welcome Bonnie. She is a beautiful Brindle Plott Hound/Catahoula Bulldog weighing about 65 pounds. She is about 2 years old. She is mild mannered and wonderful. She does not jump up, is good in a crate, good with other dogs and leash trained. She is bonded to a dog named Clyde. They were dumped together and Bonnie was pregnant. A good Samaratin found them and raised all the puppies till they were old enough for their own forever homes. Now it is time Bonnie and Clyde find they new home. We would love them to go together so they have reduced fees to allow adoption to be possible. She will be an easy dog to bring into a new family because she already has nice skills and manners. She is healthy, spayed, up on all her vaccines and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and we can adopt locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters that deliver to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont and all along the East Coast. She can be delivered to Vermont for the wonderful Canadians who could travel for pickup. The adoption fee and transport for both dogs is 550. That comes out to 225 per dog and that is transported via a ground transport to the areas we post in. What a steal for such AMAZING pups. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See her cute video!!

Story
Meet lovable and adorable Charley! Charley weighs 65 pounds and we think a coonhound or Plott hound mix. Two-and-a-half-year-old Charley was rescued from Ohio where he spent his entire life outside on a 6’ chain attached to a primitive shelter. Eager to please Charley is such a handsome dude! 65lb Charley is pretty high energy and would love an active and adventuresome family. Rescued by Greyhound Pets, Inc. in Woodinville, Charley is improving everyday with his training and leash skills. Charley is smart and loves to play. He is very social, affectionate and a happy boy to now be seeking his forever home in Washington state. He has a gorgeous brindle coat and he loves exercise. Charley gets along well with his greyhound pals but we suggest no kitties for this athletic boy. Charley is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and ready to meet you at GPI. Charley needs a back yard with a secure fence as this agile and awesome boy can jump! To meet this super hound or for questions about Charley, email Kathy at kkreyling11@yahoo.com. You will fall immediately in love!

Story
Adorable Plott Hound mix available for adoption. Her name is June Bug. She's a rescue dog found in a commercial garbage dumpster in Texas. She's almost 1 year old, gorgeous and a real sweetie. She needs extremely patient, extremely loving, and extremely caring people for the following reasons: 1) She was thrown away and then, found in a commercial garbage dumpster in Texas (not cool by any means) 2) She's very afraid of any loud noises such as, firearms, hammers, nail/staple guns, air compressors, coyotes, large dogs, etc. 3) Indoor dog. Mostly potty trained, but she must be taken outdoors every 1.5-2 hours, at the very least. She cannot make it through the night without peeing or pooing somewhere in the house. 4) She's a real love bug. You must love her intensely. That's a strict requirement.
