Reese needs lots of tender loving care after starting out in an environment that caused her great worry. She is a very loving 33 pound 2-year-old pointer mix who came up from Tennessee. Reese craves attention and LOVES cuddling, belly scratches, and snuggling in bed with her foster Mom. Reese is fearful of men and young children and would do best in a female household without young children. This cute young girl is house trained, comes when called, and walks adequately on a leash. Reese is looking for a human or humans who are home more often than not. Reese feels more secure when her foster mom is with her, though she has become more comfortable with new situations. Reese enjoys playing with other dogs, but would be happiest having 100% of your attention! Will you be the person who gives Reese the love she craves? She will make a dedicated lifetime companion! Reese is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housetrained, and spayed. Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Reese's adoption fee is $300. Story

Sydney Pointer (click on her name to go to her Facebook album), has been in our rescue program since May of 2019. She is an "English" Pointer- not a GSP, and there are many differences. Sydney was an owner surrender and was at a shelter in Tennessee with not much hope of getting out alive.. She is about 18 months old now and full of energy- feeling so much better! She has grown in foster care and has filled out beautifully- as she was skin and bones when she came into our program. Sydney will need an adopter that has a personality as bright and silly as hers. Sydney likes to express herself with lots of woofs and high pitched soprano noises. She is so affectionate and loves to give you hugs and when you are on the couch, she loves to drape her body over you lap for pets and a good massage. She would be a good stress reliever dog as much as she loves to be touched. Sydney will need a home with at least a 6 foot privacy fence as she can clear a 4 foot fence and no small children as I always worry about kids accidentally letting the dog out. In foster care she has learned about TLC as she was hand shy- probably from being hit. She has also learned how to play with other dogs and she is cat safe. Sydney has also learned how to be a proper house dog and couch potato-- I am just so happy with her progress in foster care. With some training, I think she could make a great running partner- but she would benefit from going to the dog park too. Her new best friend is Darla. They were born on 6-8 so are a little over 8 weeks old. They are doing great in foster care learning about new dogs and getting cuddles. The boys will grow to about 50lbs as adults and could be high energy. We are looking for Foster to Adopt families as they will need some important blood work when they are 8 months old. Clarice and Rudolph on Facebook Rudolph is a very handsome liver and white Field bred English Pointer. He was dumped by his breeder with his sister Clarice (recently adopted) and is around 11 months old now. We know he had some rough training as he is very hand shy around his head and ears. He is doing well in his foster home but can be shy around strangers. He needs a home with a safe fenced in yard and he also needs a playful doggie buddy to help him adjust to his new forever home.
