You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ADA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.ATTENTION- DUE TO THE COVID19 RESTRICTIONS IN VA, BATH ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY IS UNABLE TO COMPLETE ADOPTIONS AT THIS TIME. PLEASE CONTACT WWW.BAWF.ORG FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THIS DOG. THIS DOG IS NOT IN CARE OF REACH OUT RESCUE AND IS NOT IN MARYLAND.Ada, a 2 year old Pointer/Walker mix, is a tail-wagging, well-adjusted young lady who loves everyone.  Ada, who also responds to Addy, is easy to train – she’ll do anything for a treat!  Ada was the pet of a family who didn’t have time for her so they turned her over to animal control.  This young girl needs a family, a large fenced yard with lots of room to run and lots of attention, as well as some leash training.  Ada has been totally vetted and micro-chipped and is ready for her forever family. If you are interested in adopting Ada, please contact:WWW.BAWF.ORGhttps://bawf.org/?project=adaVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Kilo was rescued by us as an 8 week old puppy. He was born December 2018. He has been a wonderful dog however our family household has had to deal with some medical issues and an unexpected move. The current home we have is not optimal nor enough space for this large of a dog. He is fully house trained and full of playful energy. He does not like being left alone for long periods of time. He has never bitten anyone or even shown any signs of aggression. We have never had him around young children simply because we don’t have any. He is good with teenagers always in and out of the house. He is fine with cats and dogs however he has not been neutered yet. His shots are all up to date.

Story
A friends mother rescued Pepper and her sister off of the back of a truck in NC four years ago. She was told they were used as bait dogs and their mother had died in a dog fight. Pepper is incredibly sweet and shows her love by giving you lots of kisses. Our lifestyle has been very active, we spend a lot of time at the James River in Richmond, VA and the Shenandoah mountains. She is house trained but not crate trained and very high energy so she would need a home where she won't be left alone for long periods of time as this activates her separation anxiety. She is a very social dog and loves all other dogs (as long as they are dog friendly) and loves to play.
