Meet Avalon! Avalon is believed to be a pointer mix around 6 months old. She grew up in a cage until she could barely fit anymore and then was moved to a chain that she could barely move on. It’s truest sickening what people believe to be okay, but she’s safe and has free roam now! Avalon is still very nervous and has no idea how to be a dog, she’s currently being fostered in Mississippi and watching the other dogs interact with the foster. She’s slowly coming around and asking for pets here and there but still has a little bit to go. Once she realizes that no one will harm her or mistreat her ever again, she will flourish into this amazing girl! She LOVES to play with her foster siblings! So we believe another fursibling would be best for Avalon. Avalon is UTD and will be spayed before her journey north! She will be ready for adoption October 10th, 2019. One word describes this chocolate dude...FABULOUS!! He was recently pulled from a shelter and taken in by our rescue. He is a happy pooch with non stop tail wagging. He is easy and calm. He likes to be brushed and likes hanging with us outdoors..as most hunting dogs do. He was a shelter favorite but let's be honest, a shelter is no place for a dog and he won us over with his sweet personality. He has shown 0 aggression with people and seems indifferent with dogs his size. He is not good with small dogs. We would like Mr. Brown to go to a home with a fenced in back yard where he has plenty of room for zoomies =) and would prefer for him to be the only pet in the house. How gorgeous is this freckled girl?! Serra is a 3 year old spayed female pointer mix who weighs 40 lbs. Sadly, Serra was found on the streets pregnant and alone. Upon entering the shelter, Serra delivered her puppies and needed immediate rescue. Thankfully, we were able to get this beautiful mama and her babies into a loving foster home. Serra has been a great mom to her puppies and is ready to be the center of attention. It's clear that Serra did not have much experience being a loved pet when we first rescued her, but she has learned to love all the cozy beds, fun toys, and love her foster family has been giving her. Serra is housebroken and crate-trained. She is hoping to find a family with a great big yard that she can stretch out her long legs in - she absolutely loves romping around with her canine pals outside! She has even done well living with the resident cat in her foster home. Serra will need a patient owner who has time to train her and teach her manners and leash-walking skills. Serra would do best in a home with adults only. We have no doubt that this wonderful girl will blossom with the patience, commitment, and consistency of a loving family.
