Meet Kyle, a 3-year-old Pug/Brussels Griffon mix! Kyle was rescued from local, municipal shelter where he was found as a stray. We are so excited to be able to help this happy boy find his forever home! Kyle is a quirky boy and doesn't always make the best first impression, so you need to give him time with new people in a new environment to show you who he really is, Once he warms up he is incredibly friendly and affectionate. A real snuggly nugget of joy! He has such a great personality and often stands on his hind legs and does a little dance when he wants your attention (or a taste of your dinner!)! He's an absolutely adorable little guy with the people who are part of his inner circle. So, if you are looking for a companion who will think of you (or a group of you) as his everything but non necessarily want another friend in the world ....you found your guy! Kyle is dog-friendly with dogs who will give him space and can live with children 16+. His preferred home would be a quiet one without a lot of chaos. What can we say, Kyle loves his peace and quiet! He would also prefer a home without frequent visitors or one where his owners are experienced with fear issues. This little guy is afraid of strangers but loves his foster family. He will need a home that understands and can work through this with him. Kyle loves toys and playing. He also really enjoys curling up in his foster mom's laps for pets. Skye came to us as a tiny puppy on the verge of death when she was about 5 weeks old. Nursed back to health and adopted at 14 weeks old, we thought she was in a forever home. We were notified that her adopter (after 8 months) was attempting to give her away through various social media sites and we stepped in and reclaimed Skye. She arrived underweight, fearful, and shy. Skye is thriving back at GARD. She loves being with other dogs but would be fine as an only dog. She needs a home with older children and a fenced in backyard. After everything she’s been through in her short life, Skye needs someone amazing to step in and be her forever person. My name is DOM and I'm a silly sweet 5y M 'Chug' (Chihuahua/Pug X) I'm 16 lbs of PURE LIL' CHUNK o' LOVE. I was given up by my owner due to NO TIME... That's ok because as I'm looking forward to my next home with someone that will be able to spend lots more time with me. I'm a super friendly easy going happy go lucky guy ...alert and peppy but medium energy. Sometimes I'd rather spend time at home hanging on the couch rather than going for a long walk so I'm a perfect city dog. I love other dogs and cats and young kids! SO I prefer to go with one of the 3 rather than be alone... unless you can take me everywhere with you! I'm housebroken, not an incessant barker, don't have separation anxiety and am not destructive.. can you say 'near perfect'? (I didn't want to say it because I'm not a bragger) I'm such a great furry co-pilot and I can't wait to go on lots of adventures with my next hooman. Come and meet me today! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Online Adoption Application Buffy did not have the best life so far.  She was rescued from ACC NY about 6 years ago.  She was adopted through another rescue into a home, but sadly the home was not great to her.  She never received vet care and was neglected and not given the attention she deserved.  They were going to dump her in a shelter, but somehow it got back to  her previous foster home that long time ago.  Buffy has a cherry eye that is getting fixed TODAY that she unfortunately had for years.  She is fully vetted also.  She loves walks, she is housebroken and crate trained.  She really just wants to be loved,  something she never really had in her past life.  She does take time to warm up to people, she was never socialized.  She needs a day or two,  and really prefers women over men.  She is good with other dogs, but very dominant with treats, so she gets treats separately just in case she drops hers and someone else tries to snatch it.  OH yeah,  she does not like that!  LOL. She is like a puggle type dog,  aproximately  35 lbs.  She has lost some weight since she has been here, which is good.  We just want her to finally get the life she deserves.  She really is low maintenance.  Loves her person once she knows them,  Loves walks, loves outside, loves car rides, loves treats,  completely housebroken,  good with other dogs.   Give this girl a warm bed and love her.  Its all she wants.  Here are new pictures.  Surgery went well!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
