Throw a ball and Delphinus will race after it. She has not yet learned how to return it, but she is a smart girl and can learn how with some training. To meet Delphinus, please go to https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/WAGR-A-1162 to fill out an application. There is no obligation to adopt a dog when you submit an application. Thank you!

Story
Animal Profile: Peanut is an adorable 10 year old Puggle mix who we just rescued after his owners could no long care for him. He is a very sweet pup who loves having his humans around. He may be starting to have some vision loss, but he gets around without problems. More info to come as he continues to settle in! Seattle Foster Update: Peanut is a sweet, affectionate and attentive companion dog. He follows us around the apartment, sleeps often, and sometimes snores really loud! And he's adorable when he gets spunky -- he has bursts of energy and then is happy to cuddle up and hang out with his people. He would prefer to be the only pet in his forever home. Updates to come as he settles in more. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $350. This includes his neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, and health evaluation. Your donation fee may be tax-deductible. Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply online here: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application
We'll also keep you updated on Mushu's adoption status with email updates.

Story
**This information is current - when you email you can rest assured we will email back within 24hrs., but usually within an hour of receiving your email!**The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason. Please respect that and do not email us to ask. Without ongoing support and adoption fees, our rescue WILL CEASE TO EXIST!**No phone calls, EMAIL ONLY, AlphaMom33@aol.com to get an application, thank you for understanding.** **These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.**   This adorable older gal is Mushu!  She is a purebred Pug! Age: She's an older girl, 9-10yrs. is ours, and our vets' guess.  Energy:  she can be active, but no daily walks, trips outside potty, and to the food dish and back will be fine!  Barking:  quiet so far Size: small at just under 10lb Cats: yes  Mushu saw the vet today and it was learned that this poor, dear girl was abused. Our vet specifically said abuse, esp. after viewing the x-rays and interacting with poor, tiny, sweet Mushie.Mushu has some very bad arthritis in her spine - various places, primarily in her shoulder area and in her thoracic area. Some of the calcification has began to crowd into her spinal column - where her spinal cord resides.So...this  will change the type home she should go to. The GOOD news is, she's got some very good years left, but she should be on some anti-inflammatories as needed, and probably be on gabapentin, and she definitely SHOULD be treated with plenty of LOVE and care, like the Princess she is!CONTINUED...    Mushu lives with 7 other foster dogs! She does fine for the most part, and a few times she thought she should be the only one on the couch (for instance) so growled at one of the others. There's been no fights or bloodshed, and we scold her verbally for the transgression and she has responded positively to that! As old as she is, and as few teeth as she has, she can do no damage anyway! In our home, 'if you guard it, you lose it', so she's learned to share!  *Bloodwork: great!*Housebroken: YES (if let out potty on a regular basis)*Other dogs: doesn't like bigger dogs (and they might step on her) She also thinks she weighs 90lbs. instead of 9, and would like to beat them up! *She has had her teeth scraped and some pulled!*She has some spinal and skeletal issues that will limit her mobility to an extent - think, ramps, and no big staircases in her new home!*No small kids - older kids (10 yrs. and older) only due to her spinal issues! That includes grandkids and/or other visitors to your home. *She needs an owner not afraid to take on a medically fragile dog, which might entail medications and more frequent vet visits.*Adoption donation: $265 to help defray her vet expenses!   SEE MORE PICS AND INFO on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/A-PAW-UP-Rescue-E-WA/92163841238  EMAIL US - AlphaMom33@aol.com TO REQUEST AN APPLICATION-We WILL RESPOND within 24 hours (usually less!) All adopters are required to pick up their new family member HERE, within a week of your application being completed and being approved to adopt. Because this is our home, we have LIMITED SPACE to keep dogs, THANK YOU for your understanding.  The sooner an adoptable dog finds a home, the sooner we can rescue another! ****If you are unable to come adopt for longer than a week, a deposit ($50) and/or a $10/day donation towards boarding may apply!**** *Be aware that if you cannot adopt the puppy you've already placed a deposit on, you forfeit your deposit and it becomes a donation to our rescue.* Thank you for your understanding.      **All our foster dogs and puppies have been vaccinated with Galaxy DA2PPv at least ONE TIME. When appropriate and available, they get a rabies vaccination, and they have been dewormed at least once. They come with a health record that reflects this at the time of adoption. They are also Microchipped and come with a free month of health insurance.** No meet and greets take place without a completed/approved application.  **We DO allow out of state adoptions, but we DO NOT ship our pets.  **These dogs are in foster homes, not a shelter setting; therefore we only accept appointments for those reasonably sure they WILL adopt the dog for which they are applying.**  The rescue support donation is not for the 'purchase' of a dog, but rather to cover the medical and other costs of all dogs in our care. Shelter support donations are NOT NEGOTIABLE for that reason.
