Story
Animal Profile: Peanut is an adorable 10 year old Puggle mix who we just rescued after his owners could no long care for him. He is a very sweet pup who loves having his humans around. He may be starting to have some vision loss, but he gets around without problems. More info to come as he continues to settle in! Seattle Foster Update: Peanut is a sweet, affectionate and attentive companion dog. He follows us around the apartment, sleeps often, and sometimes snores really loud! And he's adorable when he gets spunky -- he has bursts of energy and then is happy to cuddle up and hang out with his people. He would prefer to be the only pet in his forever home. Updates to come as he settles in more. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $350. This includes his neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, and health evaluation. Your donation fee may be tax-deductible. Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply online here: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application

Story
Available through CCPAL. Welcome Ferdinand. He is a 90-pound Bulldog/Basset Hound is our guess. He is probably about 4 years old. He is very good with people and warms up slowly to other big male dogs but really gets along well loose in a pack at the rescue. He was found tied up in the back of an abandoned house. He was being fed by the neighbors. He has a chip but his owner has never called back so he is now up for adoption. Personally, we think anyone that would tie a dog up and leave isn’t a good adopter anyway. He won’t need mounds of exercise. A fenced yard where he can check things out would be sufficient. He is independent and goofy. He likes it when we are at the kennels and he keeps an eye on us and follows us around. He has a big smile on his face when he is happy which is most of the time. He would be perfect for someone who wants a nice dog for company. Let’s say your husband works away from home a lot and you want to feel safe. He would look a bit challenging and would bark if someone came in the yard. He would warn you someone was there he didn’t know. That alone would be some protection. We don’t know how he is with cats but he has the typical Bulldog personality that is very assertive on his introduction and sniffing and it startles most dogs and some don’t like it. He is a big mush to people he loves and he is very clear that he loves you. He wears his feelings on his face. He is ADORABLE and we are looking for a home with a fenced yard and someone experienced with a large breed or bulldog as an owner. He is healthy, up on his shots, good in a crate and ready for his forever home. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application.
