Meet Mack! This sweet old man was left in a shelter after his owner passed away, but luckily Starfish rescue got him out and he is now enjoying life in a loving foster home. He is gentle and sweet - probably around 15 years old and a Beagle mix. He is not very big (26 lbs) and only requires a soft bed to sleep in and a family to love him. Older kids are preferred. Can you give this sweet boy a home?  The adoption fee of $200 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Although we do the best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can make no guarantee. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! Story
Rue is an adorable young beagle hound mix saved from dire conditions by Starfish.  She is around one year old and weighs 34 pounds, she is the perfect size lap dog!   Rue is special not just because of her previous difficult life but because she is as happy and joyful as can be.  Rue LOVES playing with any and all toys!  She enjoys running with her toys and playing with her foster doggy siblings.  Rue is even friends with her foster cat siblings.  Her favorite spot is on the couch snuggled on a blanket.   Rue needs a family who will go slow and be patient. Outside is scary to her but she is working on it!  Rue would do best with someone home part or most of the day to monitor her potty training.  Older kids preferred as well.   The adoption fee of $200 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Meet Chillie! Chillie is a Chihuahua, probably mixed with another small breed. He came to Starfish with four siblings.  He weighs in at 8 lbs and was born in mid July. He is sweet and a bit shy. He needs people to go slowly with him, but when he learns to trust, he is just fine. If you know chihuahuas, you know they can just be a bit bossy but are complete loves to their humans.  Given his size he will need to be attended to at all times when outside.   Chillie is a great pup... he is crate & pen trained, and he is working very hard on his potty training.   Starfish will require adoptive families to have older children/visiting grandchildren in the family -14+ years only, please.  The adoption fee of $350 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
