I'm about 8 years old, and with that age comes wisdom - I have never made a mess in the house, and you can trust me not to chew on any furniture. That kind of puppy behavior is not regal enough for me! I'm very responsible, and my foster mom trusts me to have the run of the house when she's gone. My favorite thing to do is snuggle, and when it's sleep time I'll get right up in your bed and crawl under the covers. I'm an easy going gal that loves long walks and I'll play if you want to! I also love taking car rides, and will even sing to keep you company on the road. I am interested in other dogs, so my foster mom thinks that with slow introductions I might do good with living with another one. I've never been around cats. When I go on long walks I am always very excited to see kiddos, so my forever family might have elementary school age or older kids. I was a stray before my foster mom took me in and had some issues with my knee, but The Rescue Crew got me the surgery I needed and I'm recovered and ready to give my new forever family all the love and snuggles they can handle! My two favorite things are eating and going outside! I don’t bark very much, but might bark at you to let you know that I’d like to go out. Sometimes I have a little bit of anxious energy and pace around the house. So ideally, I’d love to find a home with a big back yard that I can explore and someone who can take me for a couple walks a day. I love going on walks and I’m really good on a leash! When I get enough exercise, I love being at home and curling up (or sprawling out!) on my bed for a good nap. I am a bit skinny, but don’t let that fool you. I love to eat!! I can take treats nicely, but sometimes I get a little too excited, so make sure I’m calm first and be careful of your fingers. I really am a good boy though, so I’m working very hard to stay calm for treats. I’m getting used to getting fed twice a day regularly, but sometimes I worry that I won’t be fed and try to see if there is anything on the counter or in the cat dishes. I usually can’t find anything on the counters or reach the cat dishes though. Rats! I get along with cats and dogs. Right now, I live with 3 cats and another dog. There are even chickens outside! I’m super curious about the chickens and can you believe my foster mom lets me help her feed them?! That’s because I’m a good boy and I don’t chase them. I haven’t seen any children around here, but I’d probably be good around them too, though older kids would probably be better. I really want to find someone to let me snuggle by their feet. I would love to look longingly in their eyes while they give scritchy scratchies behind the ears. We are looking for a new home for a Jack Russell Terrier, Pablo. He has been a joy to have around, but with a new infant who may be allergic to the dog and an active toddler, we find ourselves not having enough time or energy to give Pablo the attention that he deserves and needs. We have put great thought into this, and will miss him dearly. We know that this is the best for his physical, mental, and emotional well being. Pablo is 10 years old and I fully housebroken. He is a runner and needs to be fenced in at all times when outdoors. He is good with kids but not with other dogs. He enjoys having his own space. He has never been aggressive with any humans.
