Story
Patience and Otis are 7-8 month old Redbone littermates that were surrendered to Rescue and are now safe in their Dallas area foster home. They get along well with the other dogs in their foster home and don't mind the horses. They are kennel and housetrained and are learning to walk on a leash. They both have gorgeous eyes, rimmed with black "eyeliner." Odie is not shy at all; he loves everyone, especially kids, and will follow his foster family around the yard. He's a quiet pup that doesn't bark much. He rides well in a car and loves to have his ears scratched. Patience is very cautious of new people but wants so badly to be friends with everyone. She will lay on her belly to be petted and loves reassurance. She would do well in a home with a confident doggie playmate to help build her own confidence. Remi was adopted from a backyard breeder in Canton, TX. Even though we bought her, we feel that we rescued her because she was living in a horrible area filled with urine and feces, she was covered in fleas, and she had 3 types of parasites that we got cleared. Remi is your typical coonhound and loves getting her nose into anything and everything, so you have to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't eat something she's not supposed to! She is definitely a cuddle bug and loves her rawhides and chewys! Remi loves to howl and let you know when she needs to go potty and when she is hungry. Remi does have bilateral hip dysplasia that she was born with and is currently on a joint supplement called Cosequin, a high dose of fish oil to help with inflammation, and an anti-inflammatory as needed on rough days. It it recommended that she have hip surgery soon.
