Waylon is a rescue from our local shelter. He was a puppy and found in a bush. He is a loving and goofy sweetheart. Has a lot of energy. He loves attention and treats. He also likes to talk. He has quite the personality.

Story
Beau's DOB is 7/13/2011.  He came into rescue with an injury that caused paralysis. He is a determined fellow and has worked hard to rehabilitate.  He is now walking!  Beau is easygoing and would love a home to call his own.  Due to his condition, he needs a home with no young children and needs a gentle lifestyle. He likes other dogs but would need a dog that is laid back with no rough play. He will need to stay at a healthy weight. Beau is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Story
Hello my name is Sponge Bob I am 3 years old and thought to be a Black Mouth Cur/Canaan mix. I was pulled from Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston TX on my last day to live because my time was up. I was found wandering the streets of Houston with some other dogs who were also homeless: Being on the streets in the winter time with cold rain and wind was very hard. I was looking for my family my rescue believes beside I was not skinny like the other dogs I was hanging around with and someone had been feeding me. I’m a good dog but it’s obvious that my past owners didn’t put me and my health first because I tested positive for heartworms but that is fixable my rescue people said. Someone was mean to me at one point in life my rescue says because I am scared when I meet new people and cower. It takes a little time for me to trust and to want you to pet me the boarding place says. I don’t growl and bark at people I just back up and shy away from them at first. I just need time and love to know I will be safe, that is all. The ladies at boarding just sat in my kennel and talked to me and fed me treats until I came to them and finally laid down wanting attention. I really wish I could tell you my story so you could understand. I have been seen at the vet and have been started on my heart work meds for treatment but besides those heart worms, I am good the vet said. My friends at birding is working with me to gain confidence but I have already come a long way from the day l was pulled from the shelter. I am out of the shelter now and at doggie day care with some of my other friends from the shelter. I was kenneled with other dogs and dog friendly as well. I'm not sure if I am cat friendly or not since I'm not sure if I have even seen one. My rescue doesn’t know if I have been around kids in the past and says until I am confident and trust, that maybe I shouldn’t be around little kids since I’m still scared and nervous. I am 65 pounds and 3 years old. My rescue will continue to pay for my meds and heart worm tests until I test negative and will be retested again in 6 months. I am micro-chipped, UTD on shots, and available for adoption now. As soon as I get an approved adopter or foster in NC, I will be transported there so will you please share me so I am one step closer to finding my forever family? I promise to do my very best to be good boy and be very loyal to you if you promise to always love me and take care of me forever and ever. Love Sponge Bob
