I could write a novel here about all the great things about Scout but being limited to 1000 characters I'll leave most of it for a phone call or visit. We adopted Scout as a 6 month old puppy in 2014 in Seattle. She was a rescue from the state of Georgia. We put a lot of time and money into her training and it paid off. I can't tell you how many compliments she receives from friends and guests when they visit. For 5 and a half years Scout has been the perfect walking, hiking, swimming, and lounging partner. She's great on a leash, has great recall off leash, has never run off, was crate trained for two years, and can now stay at home for up to 10 hours alone with proper exercise morning and night. With all these positives there's no way getting around that she is a dominant female who after a whole year is still not tolerant of our infant child. It breaks my heart but I know it's the right choice. High standards for adopter, a near perfect dog deserves a near perfect home.

Story
Our boy Solomon is looking for his most perfect forever home. He doesn't come without flaw, but he does come with a loyalty to his humans that doesn't waver. He is about 5 years old and probably 70 pounds. He is a Heinz 57 mix breed, the listed breeds are our best guess. He is Long, TALL, and lanky. Solomon LOVES to play fetch and brings the ball back every time for you to toss it again. He has plenty of energy to keep up with someone who likes to run and hike, but will also settle right down. His new home will need to have a fenced in yard for him to frolic and play in. Solomon is house and crate trained. He will need to be in an only dog adult home. Solomon listens well, but will need a stern handler not afraid to make him listen. He knows basic commands. And is very eager to please his humans. He is super smart and would excel with advanced training. He is currently being fostered in East Tennessee, but is available to be transported to the Northeast. Solomon is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and kept on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Please email us at brighthopeadoptions@gmail.com for an application on Solomon.
