Story
This is Rocco a 4 year old, 72 Rottweiler mix. Rocco is a happy, well-adjusted guy. He loves people and does well with other dogs and kids. Rocco is a great cuddler and will happily hang out on the couch with you and not fight you for control of the remote. Rocco loves to go on walks and walks pretty well on a leash. Rocoo is used to being left loose in a home, he doesn’t need a kennel and knows his manners. Rocco’s forever home should not have a cat, he thinks they are squeakers. Rocco was surrendered with his sister Shi to a local shelter. Their owner no longer had time for them. Rocco had been at the shelter 3 weeks. Because the shelters are closing due to Covid 19 we got Rocco out to a foster home. Rocco is used to a physically fenced yard and would like his forever home to have a physically fenced yard. He really enjoys doing zoomies and playing out in his yard. Rocco is housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. If you would like to meet Rocco, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Rocco you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Indoor homes only. Adopters within two hours of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Adoption donation $250.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Enzo is a handsome older male believed to be around 10 years old. He was adopted many years ago from Last Hope and spent nearly 8 years as a faithful companion to his family.  When they changed their lifestyle and had children, they decided Enzo was no longer a fit for their home. They provided him no training or guidance to prepare him on how to live with the new family member, they simply chose to send him away. Enzo has come back to Last Hope and we have promised him that we will find him a family that will love him no matter the circumstance and understand that his only goal now is a comfortable place to rest, a full tummy and a life full of belly rubs and companionship.  Enzo does not want to live with other dogs at this point in his life.  A calm or quieter home would be ideal, he does enjoy getting outside and getting moderate exercise so could make a great daily walking partner.  Enzo and his eternal "sad puppy dog eyes" will forever be your loyal friend! Enzo's adoption fee is $200 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and be current on preventatives and vaccinations.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and a home visit.  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at www.AdoptHope.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Severely Underweight at intakeLooking for somebody to go on leisurely walks with and then curl up for a nap together afterwards? Gabby could be the girl for you! This sweet girl is approximately 3 years old and was found as a stray with another dog. Gabby was extremely underweight and had several small wounds upon intake, but has since started to gain weight and her wounds have healed up. Gabby loves everyone she meets and greets people with her whole back end swaying back and forth. However, Gabby does not always like every dog she meets. Gabby prefers to be around low energy, submissive dogs. Gabby would not be a good candidate for dog parks because she can become mean and bossy to dogs that are running around and playing constantly. Gabby would be just fine as the only dog in the home. She has gotten along with cats and typically just ignores them. Gabby has very good house manners. She is house trained and knows “sit”, “lay down” and “stay” pretty well. Gabby is also a talker and barks or howls at her human occasionally when she wants attention. Gabby does take interest in toys sometimes, but she prefers to be curled up on the couch napping. Gabby’s favorite thing is to sleep through the night underneath a blanket next to her person! If you’re single and looking for someone to spoon, consider letting Gabby come home with you! Please fill out an application on our website if you're interested in meeting Gabby! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Atlas is ready to be the king of your world! This handsome young bridle boy is around 3.5 years old and happiest when he's running and playing fetch.  Atlas is well trained and knows how to sit, shake, stay, lay down, wait, come, leave it and get up. Atlas is also muzzle trained, he prefers to wear this when meeting strangers or doing scary things like visiting the vet's office.  Atlas would thrive in an active home with adults only who are dog savvy and maintain a relatively quiet home life. We don't know all of his background, but we know that strangers in the home are scary to Atlas and he isn't sure if he's supposed to protect you from them or not!  Atlas loves to play, so another playful dog in the home would make for a perfect match! Atlas is kennel and potty trained, and also loves to give kisses. A 4-6 foot high fenced in yard would be a dream come true for ol' Atlas, here he could run and play to his hearts content and maybe learn some more impressive commands with a little help from his new family. If you are interested in learning more about Atlas please complete an adoption application for consideration at www.AdoptHope.org.  The adoption fee for Atlas is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives as well as a FREE obedience class through Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
