Story
Hi, I'm Louis! I am a big loving sweet boy. I am the type of boy that likes to be close to you- I'll lean right in for some extra close petting and love. I live with a bunch of big dogs in my foster home and do well with them (though I like slower introductions when meeting new dogs). I have a medium energy level and like to play ball in the yard before chilling out by your side. I am not a big fan of the crate but don't worry, I am not destructive if left out in the house without a crate! I would love to meet you!

+++++++++++COURTESY POST+++++++++ **Maddox is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, TX. He is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. His adoption fee is $495 for non-local adopters, which covers his transport to his new family. He is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped.** Well hello there! I&#39m Maddox and I&#39m pleased to meet you. I must say, I consider myself to be a &#34lucky dog&#34. One day, I&#39m wandering the streets of Houston, without a home, and the next I know, I&#39m in a very nice home, with a lady who promised me that she will find me a forever home. Luck just seems to follow me and I&#39d be happy to bring that luck to your life, too. I&#39m 55 lbs and 2 yrs. old. I&#39m house-trained, getting used to the crate--not my favorite activity, and energetic. I&#39m working on my obedience training and have caught on to a couple commands very quickly. In fact, right now, I&#39m being fostered by a very good professional trainer, so you know I&#39m learning every day. They tell me I&#39m a quick study. I like people. Sometimes I like to take a little time to get to know people, but I&#39m definitely a people-oriented guy. I also like car rides, because that&#39s a bit of an adventure, too. I am good with other dogs, but I do appreciate a proper introduction. If you are looking for a fun, energetic, active dog, who enjoys taking walks, wouldn&#39t mind learning how to be a running partner, and enjoys a little chill time, I just may be your guy! I&#39m fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and have received a clean bill of health. If you&#39d like to meet me, please contact info@wagsfundrescue.com to set up a meet and greet. Thanks. Maddox is available for adoption thru the WAGS Fund Rescue Group. Please email info@wagsfundrescue.com to set up a meet and greet! +++This pet is being posted as a courtesy to another group or individual. This pet is not part of the Joyrides adoption program. All adoption paperwork will be handled directly with the party listed in the bio.+++

Story
My name is: Fausto and my estimated DOB: 9/1/17 Here is my Story: This Gorgeous Rottie was found in a Walmart parking lot. He is extremely emaciated and roaming the parking lot looking for food. He was obviously on the street a while to as emaciated as he was. He has gained weight since he was found but is still about 35 lbs underweight. He is super super sweet. Loves to be around people most of all. He is super loving and does not seem to even mind other dogs, just ignores them. We do not know how he is around cats. He knows commands, sit, shake, stay and is potty trained and crate trained. Does not have any aggression or resource guarding issues at all. He still needs to be neutered but vet recommended he gain a bit more weight first. For this reason he is only available for Foster to Adopt and Adoption can be finalized once he is neutered. If you are interested in adopting him, please submit an adoption application but keep in mind if application is approved, it will not be finalized until he is neutered. If you are interested in Fausto, please email us a PetRescueTeam.tx@gmail.com and please include a contact phone number. **PLEASE ADD OUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO YOUR EMAIL CONTACTS SO THAT OUR REPLY DOES NOT GO TO SPAM** Adoption applications can be submitted at www.PetRescueTeam.com/applications Adoption Fee $200 *** WILL NOT BE ADOPTED TO APARTMENT RENTERS ***

Story
Meet Pilar or Miss “P”, Pilar is a petite 3-4 year old female Rottie that only weighs about 50-60 pounds. As you can see, Pilar has only 3 legs. How she got that way is a sad story. She was picked up as a stray by the SPCA because she was seen with a serious compound fracture of her left front leg which had the bone sticking out of her leg. Unfortunately, she had been that way for a while and by the time she was picked up the leg was very infected and had dead tissue. Because of the infection, there was no way to save her leg and so it had to be amputated. However, being left with three legs has not slowed her down one bit! She gets along great and loves to literally bounce around on her one front leg when she plays. She can even run pretty quick when she wants to. Pilar LOVES toys and will just play with her toys constantly for long periods of time. She will shake them and toss them in the air, and then go to her toy box and keep getting more toys out to keep playing, before you know it, the room is filled with toys. Pilar is a sweet girl who craves attention once she gets to know you. Amazingly, despite all the horrible things this baby girl endured, she is an incredibly happy little girl. She gets along with other dogs and loves to play and would do great in a house with other dogs. However, she would not be good in a home with cats as she thinks they are just big squirrels and wants to go after them.  She also needs to go to a home without children – they are just too unpredictable for her. She is a leery of strangers when she first meets them, and who can blame her after what she has been through. At first she is a timid and apprehensive, as we are sure she was abused at some time in the past. Once she gets to know you and realizes that you are going to be nice to her, she is a sweetheart. You just have to take things slowly with her, but once she trusts you, she will love you forever and love to be right by your side.  She has been working with our trainer some to get over her fear of strangers and is doing well, but her new home or foster will need to be diligent with her training and rules. Scout's Honor will also have our trainer work with anyone who is interested in adopting Pilar.  Pilar is house and crate-trained. She does great unsupervised in the house and usually you can find her curled up or laying on her back with her legs in the air on her favorite bed.  Check our Miss P playing with her buddy!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjipTCXkeHg&feature=youtu.be  Pilar is such a sweetie that just wants a place where she can bounce around and play until her heart's content with a family that understands her and is patient with her. Please consider giving this girl a place to lay her head and be safe forever. If you are interested in adopting Pilar, please contact us at info@scoutshonor.org  You can also read all about fostering and adopting at www.scoutshonor.org.
