Meet Bullet! He is a 3 yr old neutered male Rottweiler mix that weighs 71 lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/29 as a stray. Tho microchipped, his family has not come back to reclaim him. So this sweet hearted guy finds himself up for adoption. He has such a great smile that you just can't help to smile right back at him. He has told me how much he wants to have his own loving family that has a secured backyard to play in, but most importantly live indoors being pampered and loved on as he so deserves. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently. and enjoys being petted. We walked past dogs that were barking at him, he showed no regard to them. If you have another pup in the family, please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. If you come meet Bullet you will not be disappointed! He would make a great family companion.

Story
I received Duke from a retired couple that felt that he was too energetic for them. When I received him he was one and very loving However when I attempted to take him to a veterinarian I quickly found out that he had anxiety and not a fan of vets or grooming. Duke is a very loving and affectionate dog and likes to be cuddled a lot. He doesn’t cause any issues but my wife and I are expecting our 2nd child and feel we already don’t give him up enough attention. We want our bear to go to a good home. Feel free to contact about him.

Story
Bella is 3.5 years old, and rescued by me from the SPCA. Her previous owners said they had to get rid of her because they had too many animals and supposedly she lived most of her life in a garage in her own feces, etc. Not physically abused, and one of the most human-loving dogs I have ever met. She is very curious because living most of her life indoors, but does well on a leash. She knows simple commands like “sit” and “down” and is kennel trained. When I got her in December she was not potty trained at the age of 3, but after kennel training and taking her out directly when I leave and come home she has stopped having accidents in the house. She gets along with other dogs, but very playful. She is up to date on ALL of her shots, and neutered. She is truly the sweetest most loving dog in the whole world, and it breaks my heart that I can’t provide for her needs with my work schedule and small living quarters. She is an absolute SWEET HEART and people fall in love with her instantly!

Meet Hogan! He is an 8-9 mos old neutered male Doberman Pinscher mix that weighs 54lbs. He came in on 5/6 to Mesquite Animal Services as a stray. He is an extremely handsome pup that appears to have been well cared for. His fur is clean and soft, walks great on a leash, and may be house trained. He also knows the sit and paw command so he is a smart cookie! With his age you have to remember he is a puppy with puppy energy. He is so fun to watch as he romps through the yard, then they turn into zoomies!! He is a growing puppy so he will become larger. He loves treats and will jump on you and for more attention. If you have another dog in the home please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. He would need to live inside, in a home, not an apartment due to how large he will become. Having a secured backyard to play in, but live inside to enjoy being close to his human companion, and may enjoy a toy or two. This guy pup would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. Please come meet him!!
