You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process.  When I came to Last Day Dog Rescue, I was only a puppy and didn't have a lot of fur (someone told me I had something called mange???). But know I'm a little older, and I think my fur looks super pretty! I LOVE to play with toys, preferably the pink and squeaky ones. My favorite games to play are tug of war and fetch. You may have to wrestle the ball out of my mouth, but that's how you play the game, right? I also know some human words like sit, stay, shake, and lie down. I'm always up for a walk, but I'm still young and working on my manners. If another dog walks by, I might bark and try to pull at the leash. But I'm small, and my momma can usually pull me away.  Truth is, other dogs make me nervous and I'd love to be in a home all by myself.  When I am not on land, I LOVE to play in the water. I have been known to jump into the bathtub or the shower with my human friends! Although I really love to play with you, I love to snuggle with you just as much. I usually sit on my mommy's lap when she is watching that thing with the flashy screen. At night, I curl up into a little ball and sleep under the covers right next to her. And I sleep through the night without a sound! I'm usually super tired after playing all day... I am not a fan of other doggos, but I love all of my human friends. Since I play a lot, my momma says I might knock down the little humans, I play really well with older children! I think I would love to be in a house with lots of people to play with me and snuggle. I cannot wait to meet you, and hopefully become your forever friend! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.

Story
Ruckus is a sweet boy but he needs a special adopter. Someone willing to be with him the majority of the time. He will need training and he is on meds for his Anxiety here at the shelter. He is the definition of a true rescue dog. He is on an Enzyme med that he has to be on probably for the rest of his life, It is a reasonable price. He is good with other dogs and cats and would probably do great in a home with a brother or sister. He is the sweetest boy but super stressed here in the shelter and needs a home . He was a death row pull from our local Animal Control here in Winchester Tennessee. We want to see him have a great family but no children under 16, please. He is not an easy dog so if you're up for a challenge here he is. If interested in Ruckus please contact kattiewithanimalharbor@gmail.com We transport using Rescue Riders LLC the best around.

Story
This little sweetie didn't have a very good start. We rescued her in her 11th hour as the shelter didn't have funds to treat her and she was full of skin infection. She has wounds from an embedded collar as well as multiple bite wounds that were severely infected, some which needed stitches. She hasn't held onto her past and either are we! She's a happy go lucky girl estimated to be born in late June 2019. She is fostered with an older female dog that she LOVES playing with. She's curious about her kitty sibling but leaves him alone for the most part. She loves couch time and snuggling, is potty trained and is working on liking a crate. If this girl looks like the girl for you, fill out an application: http://providingforpaws.org/adoption-and-foster-forms.html
