Story
Jack is a 9 year old Shetland Sheepdog/Cocker Spaniel mix breed who came into rescue under unfortunate circumstances. His owner passed away unexpectedly and if not for a good friend who stepped in to help, he was headed to the local shelter. Jack LOVES to go for walks, rides in the car and gets bossy when you stop at lights because he only likes when the car is moving, He also loves being outdoors and relaxing in the sun or snoozing at your feet while watching TV or working on your computer. Jack really just needs a person to call his own and he will be so happy! Once comfortable, he is playful, plays ball and really just likes a good butt scratch! ! Jack understandably has some separation anxiety and a few little quirks since losing his prior owner. Until comfortable, he will bark to be with you and most of the time it is only at bedtime because he wants to sleep on the floor wherever you are! He is dog friendly but doesn't really care to engage with the others ... he just wants one on one time with you. Jack has arthritis and sometimes stairs can be difficult for him but like the king that he is ... he will wait patiently for you to pick him up and actually help by jumping in your arms. Jack needs that special person that will have the patience to help him through his anxiety to be the sweet, silly, loving little guy that he was and is!
