Meet Anthony! Anthony is a male, 2 year old, Miniature Poodle blend. He is 10 pounds.Anthony arrived at the shelter as a stray. He was in horrible shape. He had not been groomed and was severely matted. He has not been well socialized. He is not familiar with walking on leash or being handled by strangers. He is coming around and starting to show off his cute personality, but expect him to take time to warm up to his new people.Anthony would greatly benefit from structured training classes that would help with socialization, teach him expectations of his new home and help him bond with his family. A home with older kids is a must for this guy! He has done well with other dogs. He will require an indoor home, regular grooming and a containment plan to keep him safe from wandering. He is likely not house trained or crate trained. Plan on working on those right away. Great training information can be found at ddfl.org.Anthony is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home today!

Meet Phoenix! Phoenix is a male, 2.5 year old, mixed breed dog. He is 60 pounds.Phoenix arrived at the shelter as a stray. He has an easy to care for wirehaired coat. He loves belly rubs and tennis balls. He has done great with other dogs at the shelter. He loves to play, but also settles down nicely. He can be a bit shy of strangers. Give him a little time to warm up. We highly recommend enrolling him in obedience training to help him bond quickly with his new family and teach him expectations of the home. He is very treat motivated. Phoenix will need time to settle into a routine in his new home. Expect him to take a couple of weeks to full decompress from life in the shelter. He will need a cat-free home.Phoenix is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home today!
