Meet our little old man Harley!! He is listed as 8-10 years, but we think he may be slightly older. That said, he is becoming more healthy everyday. He is quiet boy who likes to sit around and watch the world go on. He likes to follow you around and see what is happening, but not so much to join in the action. He likes to trot around outside in the yard and follows other dogs at a distance.Harley has had a hard few years. He came to us, and we went to work to bring out his handsome self. Now he has hair which will need regular grooming, his skin is healing (though he needs 3 times a week baths and a special diet with supplements to maintain), and he is on thyroid medications for underactive thyroid. We do think he may be losing some hearing, as he doesn't always respond as we call him, but he is starting to show his personality more and more. He can be spunky and will follow his person around the house. He prefers to sleep in his own space, but loves his cuddles. He is just the perfect house companion- well behaved and sweet. He will just look at you with pleading eyes for food, love, and cuddles. Harley is looking for a quiet home to live out his years as a healthy old man. Dogs listed with Paws New England typically reside in various locations throughout the south (primarily Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas) and New England (not necessarily in the state of Rhode Island). You will be notified by the adoption coordinator of the location of the dog you are interested in so you have the ability to decide whether to pursue adoption or not.Dogs transported to New England are done so at a fee of $150.00 paid directly to the transporting company by Paws New England; no additional transport costs are responsibility of adopter.
