I'm a sweet little girl just looking for my forever home. I came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells from St. Louis County Animal Control. I'm an older dog (estimated at 10 years old) and recently had a dental cleaning with some extractions so my mouth doesn't hurt anymore. I also have cataracts in my eyes so I am mostly blind. I'm still very playful and enjoy spending time outside. I get along well with other dogs around my size. I love people, it just takes me some time to warm up to them at first. Since I am blind and mostly deaf, I am startled easily (can't see or hear you coming!) and tend to "nip" out of fear. It is not aggressive behavior, but due to this the staff here at Judy's think that I am more suited for an experienced adopter. All adoptable animals at Judy's Forgotten Jewells are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed or neutered. If an adult animal has not been altered yet, we will schedule you in within a month after adoption to get that taken care of. Grady - Shih Tzu - Tan - DOB 04/01/19 - Male - 10 pounds Neutered Microchipped UTD on vaccinations Rabies Bordetella Current on Flea/Heartworm Preventative No health issues Grady is a sweet loving boy still working on housetraining but is doing well. He is a bit shy but warms up quickly but a home with patience is a must. Shih Tzu's do need to be groomed at least every 4 to 6 weeks. If interested in adopting, please send an email to gateway4paws@gmail.com for additional information. Only completed applications will be considered for adoptions. Since we are 100% foster based rescue, only APPROVED applications will be contacted to set up a meet and greet with the fur baby. We do not allow shipping and do not transport so you must be able to come to O'Fallon, Illinois area for meet and greet/adoption. Thank you
