Hello everyone, my dog Molly is a very sweet dog, best friend and good with kids, she is female, 11 years old. She is been with me for 8 years now, I found her in the streets and took care of her. My color and my hair make me unique! My foster mom says that I may be a little dog but I have a BIG personality (as do most Chihuahuas). Hey, know what I really love? Laps! I love to sit on laps so if you are looking for a companion to hang out with you and, be close to you, I'm your guy! I do need to tell you that I can be possessive of my food bowl. Ya know, living without enough food before I got to Lone Star, can make a fellow worry. So it would be best if I live in a house without little kids because they wouldn't really understand to stay back when I'm eating. And I would never want to get carried away and nip a little kid. So best that I live with teenagers or adults! When I came to LS, I had mange but it's been under control for a long time. If I have a flair up, there's a bit of medication I can take to get back on track. Otherwise, I'm healthy Start the process of adopting me or one of the other pups by filling out the application found at www.shihtzu-rescue.com. PS. I've had ALL my vetting, and oh boy, it was a lot. Here's what I had done: Distemper/Parvo shots – TWICE. One shot doesn't cut it. Bordetella shots - ALSO TWICE. Spay/Neuter-of course. A fecal exam so I don't have any bad worms. Treatment if I do. A heartworm test. Treatment if I am positive for heart worms BLOODWORK to make sure my liver and kidneys are working well, because you know, we doggies often have issues in the liver and kidneys. A DENTAL exam AND cleaning if I needed it- yep, all my toofies are checked out. See, that's a LOT. Ask your vet - that's a LOT.

I could live as an only dog or I can live in a home with other dogs. Now for the good stuff!- Let me tell you a little about me. I’m mostly a laid-back dude. I like to stay close to my person and I like attention. I’m not shy, no, I will tell let you know when I want something. A little bossy is a description that has been mentioned but I prefer to say I am sure of what I think and want! Right?! I get along just fine with the other dogs in my foster home but I can see myself as your one-and-only too. I do just fine in the car and I am good in a crate. I don’t really care for toys too much, kind of beneath me, you know? My foster mon says I am a sweet dog! I get daily eye drops for my dry eyes-a condition that is common in Shih Tzu and I do well with that. My vision is limited but I get along just great and it doesn’t slow me down. My foster mom says, “Quintus figured out how to climb the little stairs that go up to my bed even with his vision limits.
