Story
Here's a little senior lambchop sure to please an owner who would like a small, quiet, loving senior lapdog. Vieja is blind and mostly deaf. She is recovering from an injury that caused some diminishing paralysis. She is soft, silky, friendly and calm with other animals, and she love, love, loves to be quietly held. This girl is your TV companion, your work-from-home partner, your study buddy. If she could be in a lap 100% of the time, she would. Well, 98% of the time, because the other 1% she would be eating (healthy appetite) and attending to her duties outside. She is beautifully housebroken and woofs to signal she needs to go out. (She will also woof if she wants to be with someone. Not a demanding dog, but she does like interaction with others and to be in the thick of the action, rather than removed to a quiet guest space.) We are attending to a slightly mucky eye, but all else seems well.
Recommend a family without small or boisterous children or pets who could tumble her. With calm dogs, cats, people -- she's chill, baby. Did I mention she LOVES sitting in laps, sleeping snuggled next to you, and adores ear rubs? Rewards you with a tiny hummingbird-fast twitch of her tail.
She walks with some wobbliness and quick fatigue, but walking. She is a calm girl who wags when you pick her up. Very stable at the groomer's, so whatever her history, at some point in the past she became familiar with being groomed. We got her tidied up, mat free, bathed, neat feet and ears and eyes. She seems happy that she's about to have a little snack!

The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax = $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.
