Middle aged, so well past the puppy crazys but young enough to remember how to have a good time. Layla tends to be on the low-key side (until meal time when she becomes decidedly off-key!- she sings for her supper!). She would be perfectly content to veg out on the sofa watching reruns with you. Layla is up to date on her vaccinations and deworming, microchipped and spayed and ready to meet you! To set up a meet and sniff, just email us. Treeing Walker CoonhoundMeet Fred! He is a stunning treeing walker coonhound boy about 8 years old and 50 lbs. He was left suffering in a FL rural kill shelter with massive wounds from multiple dogs attacking him while he was a stray and they ripped off part of one ear and part of the other ear was left dangling. He is all healed up and wants to be your forever best friend! Fred is a tiny bit shy at first but warms up quickly. He is good with other dogs but fine being your only love. He is good with kids too and gentle enough walking on a leash for a 7 year old to safely walk him at events. He loves playing outside and enjoying the sunshine so a fenced in yard is a must. We think he would be fine with cats, is crate trained but doesn't require to be when left alone because he's such a good boy, potty trained, and just an absolute GEM!!! He is a calm and chill boy and just wants a cozy cough and best friend to hang with! Who will open up their heart and home to this angel?! Meet Lady! This sweet angel is a 3-5 year old, 48 pound Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. She is very shy and a total love. She looks like she has had a rough life but that is all changing due to her foster mom. She is in Tallahassee so we would like to get her in a foster closer to us in Tampa. Lady needs a home with another dog to learn from and hang out with (hounds are very social!). She walks nicely on a leash but is still nervous a little so we want her to have a fenced in yard. She is crate trained and behaves beautifully in the house. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption donation is only $250. I found Axel through a professor of mine, who’s friend had passed away. When they found Axel, he was on his own for almost 4 days. Axel loves a lot of attention, and loves people once he warms up. He has anxiety when it comes to new people, but warms up after he gets some belly rubs and attention that he so much desires! He’s a loving sweet boy, that loves to cuddle. He is not very friendly with kids due to the fact that kids run around a lot and the sudden movements scare him. He is ok with other dogs after some adjusting to it, although he is territorial over his food & toys. I just want to see him go to a great home as I am unable to take him with me.
