Tigger is one fabulous dog!  She graduated from the New Leash on Life training program March 2015.  She is very loving and laid back, frequently referred to as a gentle giant Est DOB 1/22/2010 The standard adoption fee is $150, but it may vary depending on the situation and the animal. This includes vetting such as shots, spaying or neutering, microchipping, deworming, and heartworm testing if the animal is over six months of age. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Story
We found Walt a few years ago when he just showed up one day. He had heart worms, fleas, and a number of other issues as it seemed he had been on his own for a while. Since then, he has been cared for and loved. He does like to talk a lot, and he has some anxiety. But, he’s sweet and great with kids. (We have a 5 year old who was 2 when we got him and Walt has never even growled at him let alone tried to snap) Unfortunately, we have some life changes occurring that mean we can’t keep him going forward. We never intended to have him this long, but he’s been a good boy. He loves cuddles and to be rubbed. He enjoys sleeping with you in bed and going for walks. He has been crate trained (we work long days) and knows how to walk with a harness. His anxiety sometimes makes him have small accidents when he’s alone (hints the crate training), as I think he is scared of being abandoned again. We hope we can find him a loving home with an owner who has the time and love for a sweet dog.
