You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gwen is a friendly and incredibly well behaved female, around 9 years old.  She is potty trained and knows all of her basic commands, including how to shake with both paws!  This lady is a real character and will fill a house with love. Gwen does great with people of all ages, including children.  She is not a fan of being left home alone for long stretches of time, so an owner with a flexible schedule will be a perfect match.  Gwen is not a fit with cats or other small animals, and she will be best suited as an only dog or with submissive males. Gwen's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip and current vaccinations plus a free obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet visit and a home visit.  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at www.Adopthope.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

This stunner is Stella. Stella has a love of life much larger than herself. She would love to be someone's companion. Her favorite place to be is snuggled up with a person or in front of a heater. Stella does have some quirks that will need noted to find a perfect home for her! She gets over stimulated in crazy environments and that can cause her to react. She currently lives with 5 dogs and a cat and does great with them all unless things get over the top crazy. She is starting to learn to go to her kennel when she needs a break. We feel she would do best in a home with other calm, quiet pets that like to play from time to time. A home with older children would be fine but young children might be a little much for her. Stella has also shown some tendencies for resource guarding of her food or high value treats. We work with this routinely and she has come a long way but she would do best if she had a space that was her own for eating. Stella also has some kennel anxiety when we leave. She will sleep in her kennel fine but when we leave she cries. She is improving on this but she wouldn't be a great candidate for apartment living because of this. Lastly, we have encountered a few men she did not care for but she loves more than she doesn't so we will certainly want to get everyone to meet her to ensure she is comfortable with each person. Stella is spunky, quirky and so much fun. We hope to find her a home where she can get the love and security she needs to continue to blossom in to a wonderful best friend! Stella is just over 2 years old and is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
