Story
Jackie has been with my family for over 10 years. She got the name "Jackie D" because her previous owners thoughts she liked Jack Daniels. But actually- what she likes is the ice cubes! She was a rescue and has traveled from San Diego to Texas. I went through a divorce and have to move from my home. Jackie has a calm sweet demeanor. She is aging but still has that little puppy spunk! Her favorite thing to do is play dress up with the kids and she sits patiently while they decorate her with tiaras and tutus! She eats well, sleeps a fair amount, and would be an overall great companion for someone looking for a low maintenance friend. She doesn't bark, but will talk to you when you get home from the day and just truly enjoys companionship with dogs and humans.

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Like a lot of our rescue pups, we’re not exactly sure what breed Harry is, but we do know this goofy playful boy is a ton of fun! He’s quickly become a staff favorite with his happy personality. Harry loves all the people and has done great in all his doggie playgroups. Harry requires a strict vegetarian diet and allergy shots. He struggled with allergies for a long time, but he's finally found something that works, and it shows! Harry is a happy guy and his coat is all grown in; which was something that was lagging behind in his recovery due to the allergies. If you’re looking for a happy, medium energy dog, Harry just might be the one for you. *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org. The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Dakota is a 3yr old Weimaraner mix. Was adopted from Bark when he was 1. Dakota is a great loving dog that likes to go on walks and to the dog park. Gets along exceptionally well with all dogs but not other animals. He is great with kids but loves the affections of adults. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Oakley's foster reports he's a very affectionate and well-behaved dog, who gets along just great with people and other dogs (though we don't know about cats).  Oakley was rescued by an SPCA volunteer who thought he'd been dumped, and we discovered he'd been recently adopted from the shelter.  Yet Oakley was in excellent physical condition, with a beautiful soft, shiny and flea-free coat and had obviously been well cared for.  Neither the recent adopter nor his previous owner (traced through Oakley's microchip) returned our calls, just asking them if they didn't want him back, why not?  So we were left wondering why anyone would want to get rid of such a sweet and beautiful canine companion, whose worst crime seemed to be sleeping in his foster's favorite recliner?  The most likely answer is that Oakley has the wanderlust and jumps 4 foot fences with joyous abandon, though he did voluntarily return to his foster home (after several days!) by jumping back in!  Oakley also tends to bark excitedly at horses when they come up to the fence near him, so perhaps he chased livestock at his earlier home.  But he would make a wonderful family dog if they had a taller fence he couldn't jump, or for someone who could offer him plenty of exercise on leash or at a dog park.  As with all our rescue dogs, Oakley has been neutered and is current on his vaccinations, flea control and heartworm prevention.  His adoption fee is just $95.00 plus a one-time charge of $10.99 for his lifetime microchip registration with HomeAgain.  If you'd love to bring Oakley home with you please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to submit an online application.  Thanks for thinking rescue!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Duke is a handsome adult male Catahoula mix with stock dog instincts typical of his breed, also known to be very affectionate with their family! Looking at his athletic body profile we wonder if he might have some Greyhound or Whippet in him, with those long legs and delicate head.  Sadly his family decided to surrender him for adoption due to personal difficulties.  They advise that Duke might not be the best choice for a home with very small children, as he does his best to herd them together and keep 'em corraled!  Though he gets along fine with other dogs Duke does love to chase cats, so your feline friends would definitely not welcome him into the family.   Duke will do best with regular exercise and would make a wonderful walking or jogging companion.  His adoption fee of $95 includes completed neuter surgery and up to date vaccinations, worming, flea control and heartworm prevention. There's also a separate one-time charge of $10.99 for his lifetime, transferable microchip registration with HomeAgain.  If your 'grand duchy' could use a new Duke, please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to fill out an online adoption application.  Thanks for thinking rescue!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
