Story
Bear is a 6 year old Akita/ German Shepherd mix and simply the sweetest dog I've ever known. It kills me to re home him, but he deserves more time and care than I can give him and I'm not making enough money to give him the kind of life he deserves. He isn't too great around other animals, but has never met a person he didn't immediately fall in love with. He doesn't bark much but knows commands such as sit and stay and is very calm and easy to walk on a leash. I just want him to get all of the love he deserves. He loves balls and any time of bone based chew toy. Anybody looking for a larger breed dog would be seriously missing out not taking this guy in.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi... I'm Batman. I am a loving loyal pup who is looking for his own home and crime fighting partners.I am an Akita mix so I am strong, loyal, loving and most of all protective. I love kids and am getting used to small dogs and cats while at my foster home. Now despite the myth of solitude given to crime fighters like myself, I love to be with my family and get tons of love and pats. I am an energetic sort who loves to play and jump, as a crime fighter I have had my bad days and once about 6 months ago I was broadsided by a metal beast, but I bested him and my broken bones have healed nicely. I would enjoy being your protector and best of all you wouldn't need to install your own bat signal because I will always be by your side. Hope to be your crime fighting partner soon, Batman PS Please go to http://www.animalalliesoftexas.org/adoption-application/ and fill out an application for me today!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
I first got him in the parking lot of a Walmart in a town I used to live in and it was people I knew giving away their puppy’s. He’s very sweet and loves to play, he is not a our side dog he is spoiled and is a cuddler sometimes but mainly will just sleep in a cage or on the floor which ever you decide you want to doo put him in the cage as much as I leave him out that way he was always used to both of them and didn’t act up when put up or left out, he won’t tear anything up as long as he has a chew toy of some sort. He knows how to sit in command, all and all he’s just a really good dog but I can’t keep him anymore and I hope you love him as much as I do and he’s roughly a year old but not quit a year yet

Story
Anakin was adopted from a local shelter. Observations of him within the shelter showed him to be the exception among the other animals, he was silent yet attentive. According to the shelter staff he is 3 years of age. He displays signs of anxiety and reservations towards strangers. As a result of these characteristics he suffers from separation anxiety, but, once he forms a trusting bond with a caretaker he will follow without hindrance. On leashed walks, he will take the lead, follow his nose and have a tendency to pull but will be reeled in with minimal reluctance. Once he becomes familiarized with an area he will find his way home should he wander astray. In my care, he has peacefully coexisted in households with fenced-in yards and on a ranch inhabited by various animals. A loyal companion. Watchdog. Fun-loving, playful, energetic, explorer, reserved, silent, high attachment level. Frequent baths. Daily grooming. Indoors/outdoors. Non-destructive. Easy travel.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Well thank HEAVENS Casper didn't get turned into a friendly GHOST when his time ran out at the shelter! Instead, volunteers stepped up to rescue him. One thing we should say right upfront -- we really are just guessing about Casper's breeds. He is very strong, and pulls on the leash in a way that reminds us of a sled dog. He looks a lot like another dog we rescued last year, whose parents were known to be a Great Pyrenees and a Siberian Husky. But he also has just the tiniest bit of red/gold on the edges of his semi-prick ears, and that reminds us of other dogs we have rescued, including a white Shiba Inu, a Pyr/Aussie mix, and a Pyr/Red Heeler mix.  His tail is an interesting anomaly too. It's about half the length of a normal tail; he doesn't seem to be sensitive when we touch his tail, so we think maybe his tail has always been like this, or if it was cut short due to an accident or injury, it was long ago and left no residual sensitivity.  It almost makes us think that maybe he has a naturally bobtailed breed in his family tree -- some Aussies and Heeler are naturally bobtailed and others have docked tails. If you are as curious as we are, maybe your budget would allow you to donate a DNA test so we could find out what contributors there are to Casper's unique good looks. Casper is very friendly with his people, and he is very affectionate, leaning into you frequently to encourage you to pet him. He has done OK meeting people at adoption events, but he is not usually friendly with visitors to his foster home. He is very protective of his home and family, and must be crated or put in a different room when visitors come. He should NOT go to a home with cats, as he will chase them every chance he gets, and seems to mean harm to them, not a fun game of chase.  Casper gets along OK with other dogs, but sometimes gets nervous when a dog who is larger than he is invades his space. He lives in peace with many dogs in his foster home, but would do best in a home where he is the only dog or at least the largest dog. Casper enjoys spending time in the yard, but he also has good manners in the house -- no potty accidents, no chewing or other destructive behavior.  He definitely needs a human family who is strong and can manage him on the leash, because HE is strong and can get excited and pull on the leash very hard.  If Casper sounds like the dog of your dreams, submit an application on our website and we'll be glad to schedule a Meet & Greet where you can see for yourself what a sweet, handsome boy he really is. Story
Logan is an 8yo Malamute Husky mix. He is a talker and has a beautiful deep rumble. We rescued Logan when he was 6yo but have to rehome due to him growling at one of our infants. Logan has a history of aggression towards strangers and some dogs. The aggression has only been growling- he has never bitten anyone and this was something my husband and I really worked with him on. He has improved, but we have realized that he gets anxious around children. Logan would do best with no children in the home. Logan has an autoimmune disease. He is currently not on medication because it made him irritable and food aggressive which we did not want with infants around. Logan is a great boy that is loyal and listens well. He loves to be rubbed down and have lots of treats! Logan is house and crate trained. He knows sit, shake, and lay down. I will be providing his food bowl, crate, dog bed, collar, leash, and his current food. Logan is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Story
Gorgeous male husky roughly around 1-2 yrs old. He has been neutered. Knows how to sit, stay, shake and sometimes lay down. He’s dog and kid friendly. This poor dog was lost then found then got away from finder then found and given back to original finder then lost again and had a chip but it’s been 3 weeks and original owner did not respond to microchip company so finder gave away. The new owners adore him but he is so big and playful he scares their small kids and they have 2 other dogs. They think he’s perfect and adore him but just not for their home.  He does great inside the home.  We hope someone will give him the love that he deserves!!!  All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax =  $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.
