Gorgeous male husky roughly around 1-2 yrs old. He has been neutered. Knows how to sit, stay, shake and sometimes lay down. He’s dog and kid friendly. This poor dog was lost then found then got away from finder then found and given back to original finder then lost again and had a chip but it’s been 3 weeks and original owner did not respond to microchip company so finder gave away. The new owners adore him but he is so big and playful he scares their small kids and they have 2 other dogs. They think he’s perfect and adore him but just not for their home.  He does great inside the home.  We hope someone will give him the love that he deserves!!!  All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax =  $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org. Story
1-2 year old female husky mix with gorgeous blue eyes. Dog friendly and very energetic and sweet. She was in a small rural shelter being kenneled 24/7 with no human interaction so this girl needed out before the isolation breaks her mentally.  AMAK is 100% adoptable. She is young, border collie/ Husky mix which makes for a very high energy dog.  The husky personality is very strong with Miss Amak so we suggest that her furever home has experience with the breed or is fully prepared for a dog who will thrive with lots of supervised outside playtime.  AMAK has an AWESOME personality . She is a total goofball who will keep you smiling. She LOVES to run, jump and play and is great with all dogs and loves people.   In turn, people just fall in love with Amak upon meeting her! We would REALLY like to see Amak find her forever home.  She is the type of girl who would just LOVE to have a family of her own and would show her appreciation daily.  Please share her or tag someone who would love to meet our bouncy girl and maybe welcome her into their family! Story
Jelly Bean was pulled from a kill shelter on his last day.  His rescue angel was there and he just stole her heart with his handsome self and outgoing ways.  He is about 85 lbs. of pure enthusiasm and happy dog and trying to learn how to not overwhelm people with his energy.  This sweet boy lost his leg after having his foot mangled by a lawn mower, but it hasn't slowed him down.  He runs and plays with his foster brothers and sisters; he rough houses with the big kids and is a gentle boy with the little ones.  The Chihuahua puppies literally stick their heads in his mouth rough housing with him and he never gets too rough - he seems to know how delicate they are.  He doesn't like being kenneled, but is learning since his mean old foster mom says he has to stay in one when she's not home.  Jelly Bean is house trained and has good house manners, but it's just a safety thing for when no one is home. Jelly Bean will need someone active enough to help him direct his energy and enthusiasm, but is happy being a rug inside with his people and friends.  Jelly Bean is a smart and outgoing boy ready to learn fun stuff and devote himself to his family.  He absolutely sucks up attention like a sponge and is always up for spending time with his people doing whatever they want to do. JB's DOB is 4.26.2011. Jelly Bean is fully vetted: current on vaccinations, neutered and on heart worm and flea/tick preventatives. Story
Meet Woody, an affectionate Alaskan Husky mix with gorgeous blue eyes! Woody came into the Richland Hills Animal Shelter as a stray and was not reclaimed. He has a birth defect on his rear legs that gives him a little character in his gait.  Upon further inspection, the vet determined his misshapen legs do not bother him.  However, Woody has hip displacement which required surgery to prevent him from having problems later in life.  He has had one operation so far and will have the second hip done in March.  He gets around just fine and will go on to live a long happy life with his forever family.  Woody is looking for a home with a large yard and family that will include them in their daily activities.  Woody is good with other dogs and loves to play.  He does not care for cats and other small creatures like hamsters.  Woody is housebroken and crate trained.  He likes car rides and long walks.  Woody displays typical husky behavior and enjoys talking or singing to his people.   His adoption fee includes his neuter, full set of vaccinations, microchip, and microchip registration.  If you would like to make a donation to his surgery please go to www.legacyhumanesociety.org Age: 2 years old Weight: 65lbsWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Story
Luna was used as a brood mommy for 5 litters of puppies before I rescued her. She is extremely scared of loud noises and new people. We have moved closer into the city and it is to much for her, she needs a big quiet yard to run a round in, and some to give lots of love too. She’s not fond of a leash.

These pups are in Allen, Texas too!

Story
She could be one of the Golden Girls, yes she's a bit older but she is spunky, sweet and lets you know when she's had enough! This beautiful sweet girl was dumped in a shelter covered with fleas and ticks and in pain all over her body...probably from being kept in small quarters where her muscles atrophied and her skin is worn and missing fur on all parts used to lay down.  Don't think she ever had a comfy bed or gentle hand pet her.  When you saw her in the shelter your thinking this is an old dog...she just laid there in misery.  She would get up when you came to her but wept everywhere you pet her.  Had several litters of pups over the years. Well now, after just two weeks this sweet girl gets so excited when you come home...wags her tail and at times seems like she almost wants to jump up.  She is loving life.  All she wants to do is get pets and snuggle with you.  She has an awesome personality.  She is still sore in some places and has arthritis in her hips and legs but what a difference a little medical care and love can do.  And in actuality she is not even that old, I think in a few more weeks she is going to start building more muscle and getting even stronger...this girl still has a lot of life to live.  If your interested in a chow mix, she will be a great companion maybe not your hiking buddy but your snuggling up watching movies buddy!  Minna is around 9 years old and 30 pounds. For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.   Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process. Story
Logan is an 8yo Malamute Husky mix. He is a talker and has a beautiful deep rumble. We rescued Logan when he was 6yo but have to rehome due to him growling at one of our infants. Logan has a history of aggression towards strangers and some dogs. The aggression has only been growling- he has never bitten anyone and this was something my husband and I really worked with him on. He has improved, but we have realized that he gets anxious around children. Logan would do best with no children in the home. Logan has an autoimmune disease. He is currently not on medication because it made him irritable and food aggressive which we did not want with infants around. Logan is a great boy that is loyal and listens well. He loves to be rubbed down and have lots of treats! Logan is house and crate trained. He knows sit, shake, and lay down. I will be providing his food bowl, crate, dog bed, collar, leash, and his current food. Logan is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Story
This is KAI and he was recently returned to Dallas Dog through no fault of his own. He is approximately 9 years young and has an AMAZING temperament! KAI is so CHILL and will go with just about any flow of dogs and people of all sizes and temperaments. He is even CAT FRIENDLY! Unfortunately we are short on fosters and he is currently in rescue boarding. KAI is that quintessential all-American family dog like you see in the movies or read about in books. Summer is just around the corner. KAI needs to be laying at someone's feet watching baseball or hanging out at the creek with a bunch of kiddos. He is a side-kick, a best buddy. Every day this amazing boy spends in boarding is another day a family is missing out on him. Everyone knows someone who could adopt KAI because KAI fits in ANYWHERE!  He is loyal and loves a good back rub and snuggles.  All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.
