We acquired her in Dallas in March 2015. We potty trained her and kenal trained her. She is a playful loyal dog, she loves to roam around. Knows basic commands (sit, stay, lay down, come here). She also rarely barks. So if your looking for a quiet dog, this is the one. She gets along with other dogs. She hasn't been exposed to Cats. She has grown up around kids her whole life. We have had a couple of close calls with her nipping at our kids when they wake her up. We just don't want her to accidentally injure our kids. We are looking for someone that doesn't have kids and has a yard for her to run around in. She enjoys getting in the water and going to dog parks.

2 years later and Malcolm is still searching for that special, forever family. Hardley anyone considers an old dog, especially one that prefers to be an only dog. Malcolm is a giant teddy bear who is true to his breed. He's not going to be apologetic about it because he's happiest as your one and only. A bond between an Akita and a man, only a few can understand. He was found on the streets the week before Hurricane Harvey hit. We crossed paths at the shelter and his foster dad took him home that same day. Malcolm is 7 years old, good manners, loves long walk, prefers humans, not reactive to other animals but won't do well coexisting with them. Malcolm is neutered, utd on shots, and ready for his furever home this holiday season. If you're that needle in a haystack with no other pets in the home, please consider this handsome fellow!
