Story
Introducing Indi JuM The smell of coconut oil might render images of sun tans, pool floats, beachy hair in your 20’s now age spots and regrets in your 50’s. I have spots too, but they aren’t from years of not using sunscreen, those are just my natural adorable splotches visibull due to my lack of hair. The aroma of coconut oil is reminiscent of massages and rub downs for me. I am healing from a horribull skin condition due to neglect. In a few weeks, we will do a big reveal to see my AFTER pics. We have already been rehearsing some outfit choices. Bunny ears? Scarf? Birthday suit? Crusts is good if they are connected to pizza or blueberry pie. Crusts are not good when they are on a dog. The healing process is a well, it’s a process. My white and brindle hairs are falling out with the scabs. I am getting special baths and coconut oil massages. More please! Thank you to the kids who did my first spaw treatments. I love it. Now my fresh new supple skin will be able to grow a new stunning coat. Everyone calls me Indi. I am a female 4 to 5 year old American Bulldog mix. I weighed 72 pounds the day I left the city shelter. They expect that I might fill out a little more, so I am listed as an 80 pound dog. I walk great on a leash and I am crate trained. My ultimutt goal is to please humans even though humans have not always done the best job at keeping me in pleasing condition. When I was at the city shelter place in my concrete and wire holding pen, I had purty much hit the shutdown button on my life. All the hope had been drained out like a deflated pool float at the end of summer. As soon as I got to rescue camp, the entire vibe changed, I did a full on zoomie circle figure 8 run in the pasture. Boogie boogie wiggle wiggle, and a full-on rendition of Taylor Swift’s Shake it Off. I did make a pit stop occasionally to get a people hug and hot dog bite. I know now the rest of my life is going to be full of only the good kinds of crusts, pizza, chicken pot pies, and ribeyes, yes, steaks have crusts if you do it right! Basics: Indi JuM- female, 4 years, 80 lbs, American Bulldog mix, white with brindle patches, good with dogs, good with kids, loving, calm but can get bursts of energy (her personality is still coming out as she feels better and better), loving, crate and leash trained, came from ACS in terrible condition but getting better every day

Story
If you would like to apply to take Oliver home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Oliver is 86 pounds 4 year old of pure squishy delight. He is a chunk of burning love that is on the hunt for his forever family. Oliver gets along great with kids and other dogs. Although he loves them, small kids are in danger of being bowled over by his enthusiastic self, he loves to roll over and lay on people!. Oliver is loving, snuffly, and snores like a Mack truck. He is a couch potato to the max and loves playing with other dogs. Oliver was thrown out like trash in a very rural part of Central Georgia and left to fend for himself. We don’t know how long he spent wandering the dirt backroads before he found himself at a campground, looking for food. We were happy to offer his assistance, and little did we know then how much he truly needed us. Oliver has severe environmental and food allergies. As a white American Bulldog, he is fair complected and can pick up a sunburn like a redheaded human. After allergy testing, we have learned that Oliver requires an injection from the vet once a month called Cytopoint. This is non negotiable and has to be done or he is miserable, it can cost 100ish a month so that needs to factored in to an adopters decision. He is also currently eating Science Diet’s Sensitive Skin and Stomach which does not contain ingredients that we know he is allergic to. He’s looking for a life of slow, sleepy comfort on a couch, with the option to go play with other dogs. He’s wonderful and we love him but he deserves his own people. Oliver is a favorite of our volunteers but he deserves a home where he is adored as much as we adore him! He is HW negative and fully vetted and ready to go, his personality is so wonderful its impossible to resist him!

Story
Meet dazzling DixieLou... or as she's affectionately called, Dixie Chick or Dixie Doolittle! This 4.5-year-old, 87-pound Bully mix girl is eager to find a family where she can be the star of the show. Dixie adores swimming and hiking so she would love an active owner who wants a dedicated doggy.  Dixie needs a fenced yard or leashed walks since she loves to explore. Once outdoor adventures are done and it is time to head inside, Dixie has a fondness for naps and wants to cuddle in your lap.  She is indeed the queen of the castle.  She wants to be your one and only pup.  As a matter of fact, she will tell you she loves you as she squeals with delight when you come home. Dixie is already housetrained and crate trained and gets along fine with cats. Dixie has been a loved family member but she is needing to find a new home due to not getting along with the other dogs. If you are looking for a friendly and devoted companion, look no further than Dixie girl! This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $175 if picked up in TN, $225 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $160, but may be less depending on your location (Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents.) A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

Story
Grayson is ready to find his forever home! This handsome boy was found as a stray and taken to the city pound. Because of his age (he is estimated 8 yrs old), multiple medical issues (large abcess on jaw line, severe skin infections) and heartworms, Grayson was in need of a lifeline - he wasn&#39t going to make it to the Adoption Ward. But Grayson was special. He won over everyone who met him. The shelter volunteers weren&#39t going to lose this gentle giant and reached out the rescue community - with glowing reports! And that&#39s where Joyrides came in! Grayson&#39s foster mom picked him up and it&#39s been a love affair ever since! Here is what she has to say about him: Grayson is truly an angel with fur. He is extremely sweet, so calm and quiet, and just wants to be with people. He does great with all of his k9 foster siblings of all sizes, loves to play, can often be found chewing on an antler and looks forward to his nightly, peanut-butter filled Kong! Grayson is housetrained and crate trained. He has also completed his heartworm treatment. He likes taking walks and does really well on a leash. He also loves to take car rides and is very good in the car. His favorite trick is &#34high five&#34 and he does it any time he wants attention -it&#39s adorable. Grayson has never met a couch he doesn&#39t like and can&#39t wait to find a cuddle buddy who wants to curl up on the couch and binge on Netflix! Because of his size (and the fact that he has no idea how big he is!), Grayson would do best in a home without small dogs or children. He prefers a home with no cats. While he does great with all dogs, he especially loves the ladies and would fit in well with any female k9 companion. He is extremely affectionate, loyal, goofy and smart! He is currently being fostered in Houston, TX. He would come to his new home via professional transport. Email info@joyrides.org to apply to make Grayson a part of your family! Story
Iry (pronounced irie or i-ree) is my 7 year old affectionate, energetic cuddler! His name is a reflection of his character-laid back, fun, caring, relaxed. Iry came into my life and has been a joy to everyone he's encountered. At first glance he might seem intimidating but as you approach him, he's showers you with love and run for his favorite toy to play a game of tug of war. Unfortunately, my career and personal schedule has gotten a lot more hectic and I'm rarely home. I'm looking for Iry to be surrounded by love, fun and joy. He loves to go on walks and he loves to take naps. Very low maintenance, he'll find you wherever you are in the house to come and snuggle next to you! My "care bear" is great around kids young and old, very gentle in his approach, he seems to recognize the delicate nature of children and the elderly and acts more loving , once he's in play mode he has a vast amount of energy to keep going:)
