Grayson is ready to find his forever home! This handsome boy was found as a stray and taken to the city pound. Because of his age (he is estimated 8 yrs old), multiple medical issues (large abcess on jaw line, severe skin infections) and heartworms, Grayson was in need of a lifeline - he wasn&#39t going to make it to the Adoption Ward. But Grayson was special. He won over everyone who met him. The shelter volunteers weren&#39t going to lose this gentle giant and reached out the rescue community - with glowing reports! And that&#39s where Joyrides came in! Grayson&#39s foster mom picked him up and it&#39s been a love affair ever since! Here is what she has to say about him: Grayson is truly an angel with fur. He is extremely sweet, so calm and quiet, and just wants to be with people. He does great with all of his k9 foster siblings of all sizes, loves to play, can often be found chewing on an antler and looks forward to his nightly, peanut-butter filled Kong! Grayson is housetrained and crate trained. He has also completed his heartworm treatment. He likes taking walks and does really well on a leash. He also loves to take car rides and is very good in the car. His favorite trick is &#34high five&#34 and he does it any time he wants attention -it&#39s adorable. Grayson has never met a couch he doesn&#39t like and can&#39t wait to find a cuddle buddy who wants to curl up on the couch and binge on Netflix! Because of his size (and the fact that he has no idea how big he is!), Grayson would do best in a home without small dogs or children. He prefers a home with no cats. While he does great with all dogs, he especially loves the ladies and would fit in well with any female k9 companion. He is extremely affectionate, loyal, goofy and smart! One Sunday afternoon a woman was driving down the street and witnessed Rico get hit by a car. The car kept going, leaving Rico injured on the side of the busy street. Thankfully, this woman was BFFs with one of our fabulous foster moms. The woman and Rico's soon to be foster mom came to his rescue. They loaded him up in their car and off to the emergency vet they went. Although he was hurting, he showered them with kisses as if to say "thank you". Luckily, Rico was stable and only suffered from some abrasions and soft tissue damage. After some much needed R&R he felt like himself again. Rico is full of life and love for his foster family. He does prefer to be the only dog and would not be a dog that can frequent parks. Rico’s quirks stem from fear and anxiousness so he needs an experienced, stern and patient owner. He is typically very excited about everything but at first can be a bit anxious when meeting new people and can become uncomfortable. He does well with a solid routine and structure. Rico does know a lot of basic commands and is Easily motivated by treats and praise. Once you get past his quirks he is a very easy dog. Rico deserves nothing more than an amazing family to love him forever. American Bulldog mixBoomer was rescued on a cold December day 2018. He was born approximately June of 2017, is now neutered and current on all vaccines. Boomer LOVES attention. “If you want a happy dog,” his foster Mom tells us, “one that loves to run and play, take walks or runs with, or just curl up with, Boomer might be for you.” He does need space to run and a tall fence. He is not good with horses as he likes to play chase. He has mixed in with many of his current canine brothers/sisters and gets along well with all. His sweet disposition drives his love to play with his 5 foster siblings. Not sure about his love of cats or how he would interact with small children.
