**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hey, all! I'm Knight! So here's the thing. I was living at the Buddhist Temple and it wasn't bad. HOWEVER, it was not as good as this! I now have food every day that I don't even have to scrounge for, water that's readily available, shelter that doesn't leak and even people to love on me! All in all, not a bad deal. I'm an energetic guy who likes to run around the play yard and do my own thing. I do get up to some puppy-ish shenanigans, so I'll need some guidance to become the dog I want to be. But, the important thing is that I do want to please. I do like to play with my empty food bowl and I lost my bedding privileges, but who can blame a guy? It was just so fun to tear up! Other than that though, I'm try to be on my best behavior. I'm just 80 pounds of love! Grayson is ready to find his forever home! This handsome boy was found as a stray and taken to the city pound. Because of his age (he is estimated 8 yrs old), multiple medical issues (large abcess on jaw line, severe skin infections) and heartworms, Grayson was in need of a lifeline - he wasn&#39t going to make it to the Adoption Ward. But Grayson was special. He won over everyone who met him. The shelter volunteers weren&#39t going to lose this gentle giant and reached out the rescue community - with glowing reports! And that&#39s where Joyrides came in! Grayson&#39s foster mom picked him up and it&#39s been a love affair ever since! Here is what she has to say about him: Grayson is truly an angel with fur. He is extremely sweet, so calm and quiet, and just wants to be with people. He does great with all of his k9 foster siblings of all sizes, loves to play, can often be found chewing on an antler and looks forward to his nightly, peanut-butter filled Kong! Grayson is housetrained and crate trained. He has also completed his heartworm treatment. He likes taking walks and does really well on a leash. He also loves to take car rides and is very good in the car. His favorite trick is &#34high five&#34 and he does it any time he wants attention -it&#39s adorable. Grayson has never met a couch he doesn&#39t like and can&#39t wait to find a cuddle buddy who wants to curl up on the couch and binge on Netflix! Because of his size (and the fact that he has no idea how big he is!), Grayson would do best in a home without small dogs or children. He prefers a home with no cats. While he does great with all dogs, he especially loves the ladies and would fit in well with any female k9 companion. He is extremely affectionate, loyal, goofy and smart! Story
I adopted Shema 5 years ago. I was told she was being used as a breeder. She wasn’t in the greatest shape when I adopted her. I had her spayed to help with health. She also had skin issues, allergies. The vet bills have become to much for me. I am now retired with a limited income that will not support her health maintenance. It is also hard to see her uncomfortable. But she remains the happiest loving dog I know. She just wants all your attention and love. She is an exceptional companion.

Story
Sausie is looking for a hero...could it be you? This poor sweet girl was chained in a yard and raped over and over again, to produce puppies that were ripped from her and then sold for profit. Because she received no vet care from her "owners" she also got heartworms. She managed to break free of her chain and was picked up by animal control. Her owners were contacted but they didn't want to pay the fees to get her back, so she was set to be euthanized (pit bulls aren't adopted to the public)...until we stepped in and pulled her to safety. We treated her heartworms and intestinal worms and got her spayed and healthy. She is now a super loving family member that just wants to make up for lost time by getting ALL the snuggles. I've never met a more affectionate dog!! But no one will look past the fact that she is just another black pit bull with cropped ears and give her a chance to show how unbelievably loving she is. :( Sausie is a 5 yr old bully mix. She is SUPER affectionate with people and loves to snuggle and give kisses. She is fine with other pups as well but prefers all the love for herself! She is low energy and mostly just wants to be in your lap all the time. She sleeps in bed and is a wonderful cuddle buddy. She rides excellent in a car. She weighs around 55lbs and is fully vetted and spayed. She is fully housetrained and very healthy! She doesn't need much exercise, just a quick potty break.
