Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! My name is Tuukka. I am a year old 35lb terrier lab mix. I came to wags because my original owner since I was a young puppy could no longer care for me. Luckily for me, my human auntie fosters me!    I’m a very happy and friendly puppy. I love people and other dogs. I want to play all the time and have a lot of energy. I really like having another larger playful dog to spend my time with. I would love to have a high fenced in yard to play in. I live with other dogs and cats currently and do well. I really like kids but I get super excited that I don’t realize how big I am. I jump up on people to greet which my foster home is trying to teach me that’s not good manners. Since I’m still learning not to jump I should be in a home with older children. I enjoy playing with toys as well. I’m still young and very much a puppy at heart so I’ll need further obedience training in my new home. I do know sit! I’m working on kennel training and can go 3-4 hours at a time without accidents. I still need one potty break during the night but I’m super quick and I settle right down in my kennel again. I don’t bark or whine in my kennel either unless I have to go potty. Since I’m still working on kennel training I am not house broken. I’ll need a patient owner to help train my bladder.    If I sound like a good fit for you and your family please apply to adopt. We can meet and see if we are a good match! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Trooper! I am a sweet little guy and I love to cuddle. I am about 10 years old and weigh 24 pounds. I am shy when meeting new people, but warm up quickly. I would prefer a home without other dogs, or with a very calm dog. Right now I have a laid back foster sister and it is going just fine. I need a home either without kids, or with kids 10+. I just really like things to be calm and quiet around me. I love to just cuddle and sleep. I don't play much, but I do love walks! I am very well behaved on the leash. I am house trained and I am working on crate training, but since I'm not a chewer and don't get into things, I do just fine out of the crate. I am a big lover and can't wait to meet you!   Due to COVID-19 shutdowns vetting has been delayed for  Trooper. You are still able to complete an adoption application, but the adoption may not be able to be completed for 4-8 weeks. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Asia is an affectionate and high energy girl.  Asia estimated DOB is 6/14/18. She will snuggle up with you, but goes from 0-100 in a second and so would benefit from a lot of activity. She would be great as a running or hiking partner. She does know some basic commands but is usually too excited and has some trouble. She will need patience and work to control her exuberant energy. She gets along with other dogs and loves to play. She has done well being kenneled either during the day or at night. Asia is doing well with potty training, but does best with a schedule. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I'm Bart. Also lovingly know as Bartimus, Barty boy and Big Boy! I'm a big goofball.  I'm currently 60lbs...although I'm trying to shed a few pounds ;) I love toys, playing tug of war and playing chase with my dog friends. I live with a female dog and a male cat. I love them both even though they don't always feel the same about me. My fur sister is kind of a cranky old gal and I like to try and get her to play with me by licking her face. She sometime gives me a warning growl and I know to leave her alone. The cat on the other hand! We have lots of fun. We play chase and wrestle around. Sometimes I forget he's small so my foster parents have to remind me and I listen. I am also currently in training classes to work on my manners. My trainer says I'm learning quickly! I love my foster family so much and especially my 12 year old human foster sister. She let's me sleep in her bed and gives me lots of cuddles! I am kennel trained but don't need it. I'm never kenneled in my current home. I mostly just lounge on the couch and wait for someone to come home and pet me. I take treats very nicely and I'm not protective of my food or toys. I'm working on my leash skills and learning that people are nice and can be trusted. Once I get to know you I love giving kisses and laying on the couch with you! So come meet me. I promise you wont be disappointed...I'm real handsome;) Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
A portion of Coco's adoption fee has been sponsored by her friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $325.00 will be applied during the contract process Hi, my name is Coco! From the Foster: A typical day with Coco, I am home with Coco all day, with the exception of appointments, errands, etc. After nearly 2 years in our home, Coco has settled in and become a delightful companion dog. She gets along well with, and seems to take cues from, my black lab with a calm temperament. I have modified living arrangements such that the cats are kept separate from her- she seems to have high prey drive and due to limited vision perhaps cant really tell them apart from a squirrel. I had hoped after this long hearing and smelling them, and occasionally seeing them through the gate, she would have become accustomed to them, but alas she is just not a kitty dog. I keep Coco's medication pretty consistent, aiming for 12 hours apart. Coco and Lucy (my resident dog) both sleep on my bed all night. They don't get up until I do, and are great about going right outside and then in to eat and Coco has her oral meds, eye meds, and insulin. She is a champ taking her meds, doesn't resist at all. Throughout the day, Coco and Lucy go between my office and bedroom, taking long naps (they are 9 after all). Coco loves to race outside into the fenced yard with Lucy and search for real or imagined critters. The only thing that deters her is rain! A strange sound or presence will get her raising the alarm, but she settles down quickly and back to her sniffing and taking long luxurious naps in the sun. She may alarm due to her limited vision, but no significant limitations. Coco loves to be where I am, and would rather tag along in the car than be left behind, but thanks to occasional medication and my very mellow black lab, she is feeling more secure and safe as time goes on. She does fine out of the crate in the house, does not chew on unacceptable items, and can wait several hours to go outside. She has never had an accident indoors. Coco loves a long walk, especially a leisurely sniffari. Due to a lot of training, she is not nearly as concerned about other dogs out on walks as she used to be. I try not to get too close for comfort for her, and help her feel safe and confident. SHH can set an adopter up with ongoing training, too. She is pretty stressed, though, if she cant get out of perceived threat area, so instead of dog parks or busy recreation areas, we stick with the familiar neighborhood and a quiet regional nature park. Evenings are super-relaxed. Right after eating their dinner, both pups settle in for reading, watching a movie, or going to bed early. Coco loves to lay on the couch next to a warm body. She isn't a lap dog, not a hugger, but does love to snuggle. Through the course of my veterinary care at The Bond Between it was found that I have diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, and mature cataracts. Luckily, my foster and the doctors at The Bond Between and BluePearl took great care of me, and I am now ready to find my forever home! I had surgery for my cataracts, and I can see much better now. Future adopters should know that due to my multiple endocrine diseases, I will need to continue to work with a primary veterinarian, as well as an internal medicine specialist (I am currently under the care of Dr. Mazepa at BluePearl.) To manage my diabetes, my adopter will need to administer insulin everyday, as well as monitor my glucose levels with the guidance of a veterinarian. I am also on medication for my hypothyroidism. It is recommended that discuss with my future vet clinic about recommended follows ups and labwork (CBC, chemistry, UA, Fructosamine and T4).

Story
I am Bourbon. I am from Kentucky. From his foster: Introducing Bourbon, a lovable 2-year-old ready to steal your heart! This handsome pup thrives when surrounded by his beloved humans and is guaranteed to shower you with affection every chance he gets. With his friendly disposition, Bourbon eagerly welcomes new friends of all ages, including adults and children alike. Bourbon is not just all charm - he's also a smart cookie! He's already mastered the art of housebreaking and crate training, making him an ideal roommate. Speaking of crates, Bourbon snoozes like a champ in his crate at night, ensuring a peaceful slumber for everyone in the household. Plus, he's a pro on the leash and is quickly learning basic commands, showing off his eagerness to please. He responds extremely well to positive reinforcement and is very motivated by food. However, like any pup, Bourbon has his quirks. He's not a fan of being left alone and may express his displeasure with some initial barking. When left solo, he's been known to test his Houdini skills on his crate, so a sturdy and secure crate or designated safe area is a must. Bourbon finds solace in the company of another dog, so having another pup could greatly alleviate his anxiety when left home alone. Bourbon is still refining some of his manners, particularly when it comes to containing his excitement and keeping all 4 paws on the ground. His enthusiasm may lead to accidentally knocking over young children, which is why a household with older children or adults might be a better fit. Structured exercise, like daily walks, helps Bourbon channel his energy in a positive direction and keeps his exuberance in check. If you're searching for a loyal companion who's equal parts cuddle buddy and adventure enthusiast, look no further than Bourbon. With a heart as big as his personality, he's ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags.
